 General Announcements

*Veterans Day began as ‘Armistice Day’ on November 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the end of World War I.  Congress passed a resolution in 1926 for an annual observance, and November 11 became a national holiday beginning in 1938.

Veterans Day pays tribute to all American veterans – both living and those who have passed – and gives thanks to veterans who served their country honorably. Arapahoe is proud of the many students and faculty who have walked these halls who have given their time, their service, and even their lives for the honor of our country. Thank you for helping us recognize Veterans this week and always.

*We NEED YOU Warriors - we’ve recently replaced our irrigation system and we need you to stay on the sidewalks to protect our grass and keep mud out of the school.  We really appreciate your help!

*Hey Warriors, are you interested in being part of something this Winter?  LPS has a wonderful opportunity for you! LPS Combined Winter Guard is having an informational meeting TONIGHT 6:00pm-7:30pm in the AHS Band Room. It's a great opportunity to meet friends, be active, and do something fun!  See you there.

*Warriors, this is the last week for the Annual Food Drive! Please help by donating non-perishable food, toiletries and cash donations for the Field Elementary Food Bank. You will have until this Friday, November 10th. Don’t forget the Tribe that collects the most donations will win a bagel party!   There will also be a community drop off on Saturday, November 11th from 9:00am - 12 noon in the bus loop.

*Come support AHS’ Instrumental Music program by stopping by the Greenwood Village Panera on south Holly,  Monday, November 13th from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and grabbing a bite to eat.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the program when you either: bring the flier or show a digital copy when ordering in person OR enter the promo code FUND4U at checkout on Panerabread.com or the Panera App.

*Warriors - this is Mr. Ceriani.  I need to remind you of an important rule that concerns your safety.  In the event of an emergency, it is critical that you be able to hear announcements - like this one - made on our PA system.  Therefore, any type of headphone (including ear buds) should only ever be worn in ONE EAR.  This includes in the classroom and in the hallways.  I greatly appreciate your cooperation with this simple, yet important rule as we care greatly about your safety.
