Calling all freshmen! Do you want to support your football team while eating good food, drinking great coffee, and hanging out with your friends and Link Crew leaders? Then we have news for you! Tomorrow, September 9, come out to the track at 9 AM to watch your freshmen Warriors take on Heritage! We will provide donuts, bagels, and coffee. Contact your Link Crew leaders for more information--hope to see you there!
Free Alive @ 25 class Tuesday September 12th at 2:30pm in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class, the Sheriff's Office will pay for your $79 fee. If you are 15 ½, you can get a drivers permit after taking the class and a lot of insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Do you enjoy fundraising, helping out around the school, and building connections with our community?? If so, try KEY CLUB! We are a student-run club that provides volunteer opportunities all year long. Our first meeting is Monday, September 11th after school in room E1287. All students are welcome to join. Let's beat our record of over 200 members from last year!
The Technology Student Association or "TSA" is for students who want to take their interest in Technology & Engineering one step further, have fun, meet new people, and perhaps get the chance to travel along the way. There will be an "Informational" meeting will be next Tues, Sept 12th after school from 2:25-3:00 in Room 1287. Hope to see you there.
Seniors - Looking for graduation announcements? A class ring? Perhaps a new beanie? Please stop by the Herff-Jones table next Friday, September 15th in the cafeteria from 9:30am to 3:00pm to see samples of various graduation products you can order.
Athletics
Hey Warriors - there's a big football game tonight! Arapahoe will take on Heritage at LPS Stadium at 7:00 p.m. We are the away team for the game this year so everyone has to buy a ticket. Tickets will be on sale in the cafeteria during lunch today. Ticket prices are $4 for students (K-12) and $6 for adults. Get your ticket and come cheer our Warriors on to a victory - Go Warriors !
Attention all boys and girls swimmers and divers: There is a meeting today, in the Forum from 2:30-3:05 pm. This includes all returning athletes and anyone who is considering participating in swimming or diving. Anyone with other afternoon commitments should try to attend even if is simply to check in and then depart.
The Girls LPS Gymnastics team placed 3rd by only 2 points at their meet on Wednesday night! Congrats to Kayla Smith for taking 5th place All Around. Your Lady Warriors are back in action at a multi-school Invitational Saturday morning. Come support these dynamic gymnasts at Columbine High School. March in is at 9:15 with competition starting at 9:30.
Warrior Boys Tennis teams had wins across the board yesterday. Varsity and JV Black traveled to Grandview, with Varsity taking 5 wins and JV Black taking 4. The JV Black team of Dalton Walker and Ryan Clifford had 2 of the 4 wins for the team. Varsity one doubles Nick Stephenson and Kirk Zieser clinched their match with a 3-set win. Varsity-2 and JV Gold defended our home courts against Kent Denver with 5 wins for Varsity-2, and a 6 win sweep for JV Gold.
Congrats to the Varsity Softball team for their big win against Ponderosa yesterday. Your Lady Warriors put on an amazing hitting display and defeated the Mustangs by a score of 17-8. The team is back in action tonight against Heritage. Game time is 7pm at Regency Athletic Complex located at Metro State University. Let's go take care of business ladies!!
The third and final day of the Warrior Invitational Tournament is tomorrow. The Arapahoe Varsity will battle Lakewood in the Championship game at 7:00 at Littleton Public Schools stadium. The JV team with play Liberty at 1:00 at AHS in the Junior Varsity Championship game. GO Warriors! Today the Fresh/Soph team will face Cherry Creek at AHS at 4:30. Good luck to the Fresh/Soph team!
