Hey
Warriors, Warrior Week is just around the corner and the festivities have
already begun. Tickets for next Wednesday's Senior verses Staff Basketball
game and next Monday's Arapahoe Singers and C.U. Buffoons Concert are on sale for
$5 in the cafeteria during lunch. The C.U. Buffoons concert will be held after
school Monday in the Theatre at 7:00 and the Senior verses Staff Basketball
game will be Wednesday at 7:00 in the Main Gym. Warrior Week T-shirts will also
be available in the cafeteria for only $10. Don't miss out on any of this year’s
Warrior Week events!
Attention
all Student Council officers and ambassadors - there is setup immediately after
school today for Warrior Week. Your attendance is mandatory. Please see
Mrs. Lee or Mr. Brandberg if you have questions.
Attention
freshmen! Hearing and vision testing is
taking place next week from Monday, March 18th to Friday, March 22nd. You will be testing during your English
class. Please be sure to wear and/or bring your glasses or contacts to school next
week. Thank you!
Seniors
interested in performing a stupid human trick during
the Warrior Week charity basketball game must pick up
an application from Mr. Brandberg in the World Languages office.
Applications are due today.
Free Alive @ 25 class for AHS students Monday March
18th, 3 - 7:30 p.m. The class is normally $39. To sign up go to the alive @ 25
website or there's a link on the schools website or talk to Deputy Englert.
The
Swim Waiver for all current Arapahoe High School students will be given
Thursday, March 21st @ 6:00 a.m. This is the last swim waiver given at
Arapahoe for the school year. You must sign up prior to the test with Mrs.
Leyden. Stop by her office in the Women's PE Office near the Aux. Gym or send
her an email: jleyden@lps.k12.co.us. You must pre-register. The deadline is: Monday, March 18.
Athletics
Today, the Varsity and JV girl’s lacrosse teams
begin their seasons with games against the Eaglecrest Raptors. Both games will
be at Newton Middle School. The Varsity game begins at 4:30 followed by
the JV game at 6:00. Come out and support the Arapahoe girls lacrosse
teams.
Congratulations to the boy’s Varsity lacrosse
team who beat Brighton last night with a final score of 9-3. The team plays
again tonight at Smoky Hill at 4:30. Good luck!
Good luck to the JV Gold lacrosse who takes on Smoky Hill in their second game of the season. Come out and support the warriors at 4:30 at Powell Middle School.

Tomorrow, the Level 3 lacrosse team will take
on Eagle Crest High School in Aurora at 10 a.m.
Come cheer the guys on for their first game of the season!
The Arapahoe boy's swimming and diving team
beat Grandview last night by the score of 139-44. Leading the way for the
Warriors was senior Brian Cole in diving and Kyle Hentschel and Ethan Pfeiffer.
Kyle Hentschel broke the Grandview pool record in the 100 freestyle. Also, the Arapahoe Relays begin Saturday
morning at 8:30 for diving and at noon for swimming.
For anyone interested in playing volleyball for
the fall 2013 season, there will be a brief information meeting to discuss
spring and summer dates on Wednesday, March 20, at 7AM in W205. Please
see Coach Syers asap if you plan on playing but cannot attend the meeting.
