Way to go ladies of the Arapahoe Winter Guard! They had a
wonderful performance at Loveland High School this past Saturday! They scored
77.7 points, which is 7 points higher than the last competition! Come cheer the
team on this upcoming Saturday for their regional competition at Dakota Ridge
HS. Their performance will place them in the rankings for Nationals!
If you applied to
go to Wind River, please pick up a note from the attendance office today
regarding the status of your application.
Members of National Honor Society, our monthly meeting is
happening after school this Wednesday in the auditorium. So please join
us in the Forum at 2:25 on Wednesday for a quick update on what's happening in
the world of NHS!
Attention Seniors - the time has come to pick up your
graduation announcements and accessories from the Herff Jones representatives
on Thursday, March 7th during lunch in the cafeteria. All balances due must be
paid in full to pick up your order. Remember that personal checks will not be
accepted at delivery. Money orders, cash and credit cards are accepted at
delivery. Please plan to pay for and pick up your graduation order at this
time. Cap and gowns will be picked up at a later date.
Next week is TCAP testing for 9th and 10th graders. Please
take a look at the bell schedules posted throughout the building. Please
remember that Monday through Thursday next week will be a late start for
Juniors and Seniors. For those of you who ride the bus, they will pick up at
the normal time for freshmen and sophomores and 4 hours late for juniors and
seniors.
Athletics
Congratulations to the Warrior basketball teams! Both the
boys and the girls are in the "Sweet Sixteen". Girls play on Tuesday
night at AHS. The boys play on Wednesday at Fossil Ridge High School. Tickets
for the spirit bus will be on sale Tuesday and Wednesday at lunch.
Congratulations to the Varsity girls basketball team for
their win Friday night 68-23 over Brighton in the second round of the State
Tournament. Your Lady Warriors will play Fruita-Monument tomorrow night here at
AHS in a Sweet Sixteen round game. Come out and support your Lady Warriors in
their march to the Great 8 and beyond.
The swim waiver for
all current Arapahoe High School students will be given Thursday, March 21st @
6:00 a.m. This is the last swim waiver given at Arapahoe for the school year.
You must sign up prior to the test with Mrs. Leyden. Stop by her office in the
Women's PE Office near the Auxillary Gym or send her an email: jleyden@lps.k12.co.us. You must pre-register. The deadline is: Monday,
March 18th.
