Congratulations to the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and
Concert Band for their outstanding performances at the CHSAA Large Group Band
Festival at Rock Canyon High School yesterday!
The Wind Ensemble earned
an overall rating of SUPERIOR for
their performance and a rating of SUPERIOR for
their music sight reading evaluation. The Symphonic Band and Concert Band both earned overall ratings of EXCELLENT for their performances
and ratings of SUPERIOR for
their music sight reading evaluations. If
you would like to be a part of the award winning band program at Arapahoe next
year, please see Mr. Funk as soon as possible in the band room for information
about the upcoming band auditions. Way
to go Warrior Bands!!!!
Prom guest forms are located in the Attendance Office. All
forms are due by Tuesday, April 28th no later than 3:00
p.m.

Birdie is next week and the shows are almost sold out! Tickets
are on sale at lunch. They are $8.00 for students and $10.00 for adults. The
shows runs April
16th-18th and the show starts at 7:00 p.m.
Hey Seniors, you've got
the opportunity to speak at your graduation! In order to try out, you
must stop by the window outside Mrs. Debow's office next to the Post Grad
center today to sign up and receive an informational sheet.
Juniors
and Seniors: It’s time to vote for your
2015 prom royalty. Your classmates were nominated by the staff of AHS this
year, so don’t miss your chance to have your voice heard. Log in to your
Naviance account, click the “About Me” tab, and the survey is up under “Surveys
to Take” on the left side of the screen. Royalty voting has started and ends on
Tuesday the 14th.
Juniors, Sophomores and
Freshmen: Are you interested in taking a computer programming course next year?
If so, please complete the survey that you'll find in your school email as soon
as possible (deadline is Monday, April 13th). If we have enough interest in the course,
we'll offer it, so make sure you complete the survey if you're interested.
Attention
freshmen! Hearing and vision testing is
taking place next week from Monday, April 13th to Thursday, April 16th. You will be tested during your English
class. Please be sure to wear and/or
bring your glasses or contacts to school next week. Thank you!
All students interested
in taking Honors American Literature, Advanced Placement Language, or Advanced
Placement Literature should attend an informational meeting at 6:45 a.m. or 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14th in Room E9. This includes those
students currently in the A.P. or Honors track. Please see your Language
Arts' teachers with questions.
Auditions for the 2015
- 2016 AHS Choirs will be held April 20 - 24. Please see Ms. Parmenter in the Choir Room for
details and to sign up for an audition time. We are also looking for piano
accompanists for next year.

to the girls JV soccer team who defeated Mullen 7 - 1 yesterday. Keep it up
ladies.
Congratulations
to our JV boys Black lacrosse team for defeating Kent Denver 13 - 5 yesterday.
The Arapahoe JV boys Black lacrosse team is undefeated this season under
the leadership of Coach Keel and Coach Schneiderman. Come see their next
games at 10:00 a.m. Saturday vs
the Regis JV Red team at Regis and 4:00 p.m. Monday vs
the Regis JV White team at Powell.
Spend
your Friday afternoon with the boys Varsity lacrosse team! They play
TODAY at Smokey Hill High School at 4:30 pm.
Attention
all girls lacrosse fans: Please
come out tonight to
LPS Stadium to watch the girls Varsity team play under the lights, taking on
Smoky Hill High School! Game time, 6:00 p.m! GO ARAPHAHOE GIRLS LACROSSE!
Come out
to the Arapahoe baseball field to enjoy some beautiful weather and a couple of
freshman baseball games this weekend. Their first match up is 4:30 today
against Cherokee Trail. The boys will be back swinging their bats at 4:30 on Saturday as
they take on Mullen.
