General Announcements
Did the visit of the Arapaho people to our school last year provoke
curiosity of a lifestyle and culture that you’d like to learn more about?. Wind
River Reservation Trip applications are now being accepted, if you would like
to be part of the journey, you must apply. Applications can be found in the
Activities/Attendance office, application and essay and must be returned by
Friday, February 24th. There is limited space and applicants will be
notified of selection by March 24th.
ACT seminar with Sycamore Learning Company will meet in the Forum from 3-5:30 pm. Enter the school through the North entrance.
Athletics
Happy Wednesday, Warriors! Bring your crew out to Cherry Creek
High School tonight as the Boys Basketball JV and Varsity teams take on the
Bruins. JV at 5:30 pm, Varsity at 7:00. You know that Creek always shows up in force,
let's get a crowd in their gym to support the Warriors tonight!
Good Luck to the Arapahoe Varsity Cheer
team as they head to Orlando to compete in the National High School Cheer
Competition this weekend!
Hey Warriors, would you like to see the most spirited Team at Arapahoe?
Well if you come to
the Sitting Eagle Gym TONIGHT, you
will see your Unified Warriors take on the Columbine Rebels at 7 pm. We
are on a winning streak, so come and cheer us on to a victory.
Anyone interested
in being a part of the 2017 Arapahoe Warrior track and field team
should attend an informational meeting Monday at 2:30 in Room W-1529. We
will be discussing the upcoming spring season and our 6th annual
track camp. Come and be a part of the Arapahoe track family and
help build something great. If you are currently in a winter sport and unable
to attend please see Coach Lienemann sometime before the end of the week.
Come out for
a delicious meal at Hodsons Bar and Grill in Southglenn and support your AHS
Girls Basketball team.
Mention AHS when you dine on Tuesday February 21st from
6 - 9 and the AHS Girls Basketball Program will receive 20% of the sales.
Thursday is Colorado State High
School Girls Swim & Dive 5A Championships. The prelims for diving
begin at 10:30 am to kick off the competition at Veterans
Memorial Aquatic Center in Thornton. Doors open at 9:30. Prelims for
swimming begin at 4:00, doors open at 2:30. Friday at 4:00 are
Finals also held at VMAC in Thornton, doors open at 2:30 as
well. Tickets are on sale at www.gofan.co (yes .co, not .com). Arapahoe has 16 qualifying
athletes.
Reminders that all Boys Swim & Dive gear orders are due today. Items
