General Announcements
Arapahoe is recognized for our great faculty, so you have to know that the AHS Teacher of Year, as voted on by the entire Warrior community, is pretty special! This year's honoree will be announced at the Winter Pep Assembly today, along with updates on our winter sports and co-curricular activities. Topping off this great assembly will be a group of amazing teachers getting their groove on performing the 2018 Teacher Dance!
Join us this year at our Winter Dance……. The dance will be held tomorrow, January 27 from 7-10 PM in the Aux Gym. Dress is western and the cost is $10 at the door or sold the week before in the cafeteria during lunch. ALL students attending the Winter Dance MUST bring a photo ID the night of the dance.
On Tuesday, January 30th there will be an informational meeting for juniors and sophomores interested in taking Concurrent Enrollment classes at ACC for the upcoming school year. This meeting will be held in the Forum during both lunch periods; students may bring their lunch and eat it during the meeting.
Seniors, a week from today, on Friday, February 2nd, the Post Grad Center will host an Application Day during school hours. Students will receive assistance completing their applications and all associated fees will be waived by the participating colleges and by AHS. Please sign up to attend with Mrs. Hall in Post Grad.
Sources of Strength Peer Leaders! Our next meeting will be next Tuesday, January 30th, after school in the forum! See you all there!
Attention Freshmen! Hearing and Vision Testing is taking place next week Monday, January 29th through Thursday, February 1st. You will be tested during your U.S. History class. Please be sure to wear and/or bring your glasses or contacts to school next week.
Athletics
Come out and support the Girls Basketball teams tonight as your Warriors take on Mullen at home. JV plays at 5:30 and varsity plays at 7:00. There will be half time games for fans with great prizes!
Come out to cheer on your LPS hockey team tomorrow when they host Battle Mountain High School. The Varsity game will be played at South Suburban at 7pm and JV plays at 4:50pm at Ice Ranch.
AHS Girls Golf will have an informational meeting Monday, January 29 at 6pm in Room E1287. This is for players and parents.
Our Lady Water Warriors are headed into the League Finals over the next two weeks. Tomorrow, January 27, our JV Girls compete in their B League Championship meet. The swim portion starts at 10:00 AM at Smoky Hill and the dive portion starts at 10:00 AM at Eaglecrest High School.
