General Announcements
Have you considered a career working in sports? Have you ever thought about working at a place like the Pepsi Center? If you have an off hour TODAY during 4th or 5th period, you are invited to come to the forum to listen to a career presentation from a former professional athlete.
Sources of Strength Peer Leaders! Our next meeting will be next Tuesday, January 30th, after school in the forum! See you all there!
Arapahoe is recognized for our great faculty, so you have to know that the AHS Teacher of Year, as voted on by the entire Warrior community, is pretty special! This year's honoree will be announced at the Winter Pep Assembly tomorrow, along with updates on our winter sports and co-curricular activities. Topping off this great assembly will be a group of amazing teachers getting their groove on performing the 2018 Teacher Dance!
Join us this year at our Winter Dance……. The dance will be held this Saturday, January 27 from 7-10 PM in the Aux Gym. Dress is western and the cost is $10 at the door or sold the week before in the cafeteria during lunch. ALL students attending the Winter Dance MUST bring a photo ID the night of the dance.
Attention Freshmen! Hearing and Vision Testing is taking place next week Monday, January 29th through Thursday, February 1st. You will be tested during your U.S. History class. Please be sure to wear and/or bring your glasses or contacts to school next week.
Athletics
Come out to cheer on your LPS hockey team this Saturday when they host Battle Mountain High School. The Varsity game will be played at South Suburban at 7pm and JV plays at 4:50pm at Ice Ranch.
AHS Girls Golf will have an informational meeting next Monday, January 29 at 6pm in Room E1287. This is for players and parents.
Our Lady Water Warriors are headed into the League Finals over the next two weeks. This Saturday, January 27, our JV Girls compete in their B League Championship meet. The swim portion starts at 10:00 AM at Smoky Hill and the dive portion starts at 10:00 AM at Eaglecrest High School.
