Juniors (and interested sophomores) registration for PSAT is now open! Come to the Counseling Department and sign up with Mrs. Ives. The cost for the PSAT is $20. Payment can be by cash or check, made out to AHS. Registration is open until Oct. 3rd. The PSAT test will be happening Wednesday morning, Oct. 10th. We are encouraging every junior to take this test. The PSAT is the only exam to qualify a student for National Merit Status, when taken during junior year.
Are you tired of working hard? Well it’s time to come play hard at the annual DECA dodgeball tournament. This year’s tournament will take place on October 24th from 6 to 9 pm. Registration is open now. Stop by the Business Office to pick up a registration packet, teams must consist of 5 boys and 5 girls. Only the first 20 teams to register will make it in the tournament.

FBLA will have their second meeting this Wednesday in the forum. Come to the meeting to earn lettering points and participate in the annual FBLA Scavenger Hunt.
Athletics
Your Varsity Boys’ soccer team travels this afternoon to play a 5:30 match against Grandview High School at Legacy Stadium, located at Cherokee Trail High School. The JV team plays Grandview at 4:30 at Grandview High School; please note the different times and locations. Let’s go Warriors!
Boys basketball Open gym will now be after school today at 3:45-5:30. It has changed from its original time slot.
AHS Cheerleading is selling tickets for their fundraiser night with the Denver Nuggets. Join in on the fun on Saturday, November 3rd, as the Nuggets take on the Utah Jazz at the Pepsi Center. When you purchase through AHS Cheer, your ticket is discounted and a portion of each ticket sold goes back to the AHS Cheerleading Program. Lower level tickets are being sold for $45, and upper level tickets are being sold for $29. Order tickets online by using the link on the AHS Cheerleading social media accounts, or by the link posted on the flyers around school. Ask an AHS Cheerleader for help if you need further information!
Attention girl golfers: There will be an organizational meeting on October 2 in the Forum at 6pm for all girls golfers.
JV Gold boys tennis continues winning, this time against Valor. Ian Miller, Tyler DaHarb, and Mark Lederhos each had a strong performance.
