*Have you ever thought about teaching as a career? Would you like to be better prepared to succeed in college? LPS offers 2 courses for students interested in the field of education: Teacher Cadet and Early Childhood Education. Both of these CTE courses are located at Arapahoe Community College with college credit opportunities.

*CALLING ALL AHS SNOWBOARDERS AND SKIERS!!  We want to showcase your talents on the mountain. Email Mrs. Abner your gnarly videos or photos by February 28th. Film or photo your talents in horizontal format, no more than 2 minutes.  Kabner@lps.k12.co.us

 

*The Arapahoe Rescue Patrol is looking for dedicated leaders wanting the opportunity to train extensively in the field of emergency service. This training ranges from emergency care all the way to fire operations, avalanche rescue and evacuation. All grades, ages, and levels of experience are welcome. Look for a flyer coming soon so that you can sign-up for an interest meeting. You may also stop by the Activities Office to list your contact information. 

 

*ACADEMIC VARSITY LETTER: Congratulations to the nearly 300 juniors and seniors who earned their Varsity Letter for Academics! The students who achieved this honor should plan to see Mrs. Dunsmore in the principal’s office to receive their lettering packet which includes a chenille letter “A”, Lamp of Knowledge pin, congratulatory letter, and certificate. Arapahoe is extremely proud to celebrate these outstanding 2020 scholars! 


*Free virtual Alive @ 25 class for Arapahoe High School students is Wednesday March 3rd, 4:00pm - 8:30pm. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays your $79 fee.  If you are 15 1/2 you can get your driver's permit

after taking the class and many insurance companies give you a

discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us

and the password is "arapahoe". Any questions ask Deputy Englert.

 

*Warriors! Please remember to wear your AHS ID and lanyard at all times, perform your daily health screening, wear a mask, wash your hands often, 

socially distance and follow the directional arrows during passing periods.

*Do you love Shawarma? Join the Arapahoe Wrestlers on Wednesday between 4:00-8:00 pm to get a great meal and help them fundraise for the 2021 season!

 

*Do you want to play Girls Golf this year?  If you do and you are new to the program, please see Coach Riordan in the World Language Office this week, or send him an email.

 

*Subscribe to AHS Athletic Event Live-Streaming: Due to limited or no spectators at athletic events, AHS will be attempting to live-stream as many games, matches, and meets as possible via a YouTube channel. *Attention! All girls interested in playing high school volleyball this Spring who have not signed up yet and are not connected via our WhatsApp communication app please contact head coach Larry Deffenbaugh at ldeffenbaugh@lps.k12.co.us. Check the AHS Volleyball website for the most current information concerning the upcoming season beginning March 1st.
