General Announcements


*Let the Adventure Begin: Around the World is our theme for this year's Homecoming celebration.  Tickets for the dance go on sale Monday, September 13 during both lunches. Tickets are $15.00 or $20.00 at the door.  Tickets may be purchased with cash or a check made payable to Arapahoe High School.

*Check your email for the HOCO Passport Challenge: Access your Passport and gain a chance to win a BIG prize. Print your Passport and bring it with you to all of the HOCO events to obtain a passport stamp of participation. For dress up days seek out an AHS Security Staff member at one of the security kiosks to obtain a stamp. Turn in your completed Passport at the dance on Saturday, Sept. 18th for a chance to win a BIG prize. 

*To kick off our homecoming week, come watch the Preliminary Powder Puff Tournament - 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. tomorrow, September 11 at the AHS North Soccer field.

*Remember next Monday, September 13th is the last chance to vote online for Warrior Ambassadors and the HOCO Dress-up Day theme is Cruisin' the Caribbean (Hawaiian, beach attire, no swimwear please and the dress code still applies).

*Heeeey Warriors! Next Monday is the Homecoming Talent Show! Come see singers, dancers, musicians, and MORE at 7:00 p.m. in the Theater. Tickets are $5 and will be sold during both lunches today. You can also buy tickets at the door. 

*Homecoming t-shirts in black and old gold will be for sale every day during both lunches next week for $5 -cash only.

*Juniors & Seniors: sign up for college visits in Naviance and save money on airfare! Case Western kicks off the season next Wednesday, followed by Vanderbilt, Cal Poly, Baylor, Alabama,  UCLA, and more the following week. Don't miss the opportunity to connect with reps from your prospective colleges!


*All Junior and Senior NHS Prospective Members who received an email invitation: An informational Meeting will occur Monday, September 13th at 7:30 a.m. or 3:40 p.m. in the tiered classroom E1287 or a virtual Zoom meeting at 5:30 p.m. You must attend one of the meetings.


*Did you know that you can earn .25 LPS graduation elective credit while taking driver education? Go to the Littleton Public Schools Website and click the Driver Education Tab or littletonpublicschools.net/driversed. Classes are coming up on Saturdays at Littleton HS and after school at Arapahoe HS. More classes are available throughout the semester and school year with an online only option and upcoming virtual only in the evening. In-person classes at AHS start 9/13/2021 - 9/28/2021 Monday through Thursday 3:45 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. In-person Saturday classes at Littleton HS start on September 11th from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.


*Free in-person Alive @ 25 class is Monday 9/27 at 3:45 p.m. - 8:15 p.m. in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee.  If you are 15 1/2 you can get a driver's permit after taking the class and a lot of insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us. To register for the class the code is "arapahoe".

*Our LPS gymnastics team earned 1st place at the Cherry Creek meet yesterday! 

 

*A Huge Warrior Shout Out to Mr. Sawyer who quickly rose to the occasion and gave an amazing live performance of the national anthem at our volleyball game last night! 

 

*Your ABK Varsity Soccer Team takes on Legend High School tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. at Echo Park Field in Parker. JV will play Legend at 1:00 p.m. at Legend High School. Let’s go ABK!

 

*Hey Warriors, come support your AHS Toms this Saturday between 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. for a free car wash at the McDonalds at Broadway and Mineral. Did we say FREE??? See you there!

 

*Please join the Boys Swim & Dive Team for the 2021 Second Wind 5k Walk/Run for suicide prevention at Clement Park in Littleton on Saturday, September 25 to honor Sawyer Zusi and to further the cause of youth suicide prevention. The team name is Sawyer's Swimmers. We are asking each member of the Arapahoe High School community to consider participating or donating to this great cause in Sawyer's name. Register to participate either in person or virtually or to donate at  raceroster.com/registration/49842/entry?team=337476. You will need to create a login in order to get access. *Want to leave a legacy? Consider donating to the weight room renovation by buying a commemorative brick to be placed near the exterior entrance of the weight room. Visit AHS athletics page and click on the link under 'Highlights' for more information.
