September 16, 2021

....and now an important announcement from our Principal Mrs. Pramenko.

Good morning warriors! This is Mrs. Pramenko. Please give me your full attention for a couple of announcements.

First of all I’d like to thank our wonderful student council for all their hard work on this awesome homecoming week that we’re having. I appreciate everyone taking full advantage of what you learned in TRIBE this week about getting involved. We are all learning and re-learning what it means to be a Warrior, and our annual homecoming events are a special part of what connects us as a school.

The talent show on Monday night was incredible, and it wouldn’t have been nearly as  fun for the performers if we didn’t have such a great audience. Last night's DECA BBQ, PowderPuff football game, and fireworks display were so much fun! Thanks to all of our DECA students, spirit squads, announcers, officials, and marching band for adding to the fun! And special thank you to the coaches and kids who took the risk to participate in our first ever PowderPuff football games last weekend and last night.

As you know we have an incredible event planned for you tomorrow with our annual homecoming pep assembly. Since we have not been gathered all together in our gym for a long time, I need to remind you of some critical safety measures. They will be reviewed again tomorrow during the assembly but it’s important that you follow them so that we can have our winter and spring assemblies this year as well. First and foremost, you need to stay in your assigned section of the stands at all times. You may never  come down onto the floor unless you are asked to do so by an adult. Also, the mask mandate is still in place and it is critical that you remember to wear it properly and keep it on during the assembly. Our emcees will be giving you reminders, but we need you to be good Warriors and do your part to help keep everyone in attendance feeling comfortable and  safe. If any of you are uncomfortable being in the assembly tomorrow due to COVID reasons, we will have an opportunity for you to go into the forum. Just notify your 5th period teacher tomorrow morning. Unfortunately we don’t have equipment to live stream the assembly in there, but you can bring work to do and there will be staff in there to supervise.

Continuing on the topic of masks, in addition to inside the classroom, we need to remember that our hallways and social spaces are also considered inside our school. The current Tri-County Mandate requires all of us to wear our masks when in the building when students are present. So please, for your safety and the safety of all those around us, keep those masks on over your nose and mouth when inside including before and after school. At this time, you are still free to remove your mask whenever you are outside - even on school grounds.

I appreciate your patience, grace, and cooperation on this. Let’s do the right things right that will allow us to stay in school all year and spend our energy enjoying the fun events we have planned for the rest of this week and our entire school year! Happy Homecoming, Warriors! Here are the rest of your daily announcements.
