*Attention all FBLA Members and potential FBLA members, FBLA will be hosting a BBQ for our second chapter meeting this Thursday after school outside the south cafeteria doors. Grab a hot dog and a cookie and participate in our bean bag throwing contest. We look forward to seeing you there!

 

*Juniors & Seniors: Sign up to visit with representatives from Cal Poly and Oregon State on Thursday. Sign up today in Naviance! Check the Post-Secondary website for more info., including a list of questions you can ask reps. Please pick up a pass in the Post-Secondary Center, room S1401, if you'll be missing class!


*NHS application reminder for Juniors and new Seniors: Please be sure you have submitted your application before the deadline this Friday, September 24 if you want to be considered for NHS membership this year.  The application link will close at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The $15 application fee must be paid by check, made payable to AHS, or exact cash and turned into the AHS front office by Thursday, September 30. 


*October 4th is fast approaching. Juniors, have you signed up for the PSAT/NMSQT? Don’t wait another minute. Follow the link in this announcement or in the September Drumbeat. Sophomores you may also take the test, but please follow your own link. The cost is only $20.


*Free in-person Alive @ 25 class is Monday 9/27 at 3:45 p.m. - 8:15 p.m. in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee.  If you are 15 1/2 you can get a driver's permit after taking the class and many insurance companies will give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us. To register for the class the code is "arapahoe". Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.


*The LPS Human Resources Department will be hosting an LPS Job Fair on September 28th and October 1st.

*Hey Warrior Freshman Football Fans! Come support your Freshman Football Team. Link Crew is hosting a Freshman Tailgate on September 25 at 9:00 a.m. on the Arapahoe High School Track. There will be bagels and coffee. Bring your neighbors, family, and spirit. Let's GO Freshman Football!

 

*Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Tennis Warriors! A clean sweep of Cherokee Trail, 7-0! Come out to watch the tennis warriors challenge Creek at home today at 3:45 p.m.

 

*Support your Field Hockey Warriors and get your car washed this Saturday at AHS east parking lot from 9:00-1:00 p.m.!

*This Saturday, Boys Soccer is hosting a "Pull-ups 4 Pull-ups" event. Show up anytime to the AHS weight room from 1:00-4:00 p.m. with yourself and a few teammates to participate in the pull-up contest. Try and get on top of the leaderboard! Money raised will help benefit Denver Diaper Depot and Boys Soccer. See Coach Hayes for details. See you Saturday.

*Please join the Boys Swim & Dive Team for the 2021 Second Wind 5k Walk/Run for suicide prevention at Clement Park in Littleton this Saturday, September 25 to honor Sawyer Zusi and to further the cause of youth suicide prevention. The team name is Sawyer's Swimmers. We are asking each member of the Arapahoe High School community to consider participating or donating to this great cause in Sawyer's name. Register to participate either in person or virtually or to donate at  raceroster.com/registration/49842/entry?team=337476. You will need to create a login in order to get access. *Want to leave a legacy? Consider donating to the weight room renovation by buying a commemorative brick to be placed near the exterior entrance of the weight room. Visit AHS athletics page and click on the link under 'Highlights' for more information.
