General Announcements


*College Rep visits continue with Colorado College, San Diego State, Syracuse, Gonzaga, Mizzou, and more coming soon! Click on Colleges then College Visits in Naviance to Register.

 

*Seniors applying to college: if you're feeling confused about blue forms or FERPA or matching accounts, stop by the Post-Secondary Center in room S1401 for help or make an appointment with your counselor! Check your email to stay informed about upcoming events and deadlines!

 

*Warriors, drop by the counseling office this coming Monday during either lunch for M&M's from the Mental Health Team! Come see our new Zen Den space and chat with your counselors and psychologists! 

 

*Come to the Arapahoe Invitational Marching Band Festival this Saturday, Oct. 23 at LPS Stadium.

 

*AP Science Students, are you interested in getting recognized for your hard work and high achievement? Join Science National Honor Society! Complete a  quick application in the Google Classroom to be nationally recognized for your excellence. To find out more, come to our interest meeting Monday, October 25th at 8:15 a.m. in Mr. Smith's room, or talk to an AP Science teacher today.

 

*Are you looking for something fun to do this winter/spring season? Come join the AHS Winter Guard! Participants learn the art of throwing and catching flags, rifles, and sabers, and put on an EPIC choreographed show. You will also meet people from Littleton and Heritage too! Come to our info meeting with a parent on November 5th at 6:00 p.m. in the band room.

 

*Show off your Halloween spirit! Next Friday, October 29th we will have a Halloween costume contest during both lunches. You’ll definitely want to participate as prizes will be awarded! Remember no violent or bloody-looking costumes and nothing with full face coverings. 

 

*Check your school email for a Halloween survey from Warrior Media.

 

*Scary stories win big prizes! Saturday is the deadline! Enter Warrior Media's "Scary Story Contest" by tomorrow, October 23rd for the chance to win a prize and maybe even get published! Join the Scary Story Google Classroom with code "u u e t f l z" for more details! 

 

*Make sure to stop by the Library to submit your guess for the haunted Halloween Candy Jar Count! You could be the winner of a bucket of candy and a 3-D printed slinky! Winners will be announced October 29.

 

*Seniors, have you submitted your height for your graduation gown? If you haven't or you don't know, stop by and see Mrs. Witt in Student Services to confirm by TODAY.

 

*Mark your calendars for the AHS College Fair 2021 for Juniors and Seniors! Visit in-person with over 50 Colleges on Thursday, October 28 from 6:00-7:00 p.m!

 

*Free in-person Alive@25 class is Monday, October 25 at 3:45 p.m. - 8:15 p.m. in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee.  If you are 15 1/2 you can get a driver's permit after taking the class and many insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.alive@25.us. The registration code is "arapahoe". Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.

 

Athletics

 

*Congratulations to the Girls and Boys Cross Country Teams for qualifying for next week's State Meet. The girls are Regional Champions and seven girls made the All-Region Team. The boys placed 4th and had two boys on the All-Region Team. The teams will race on Saturday, Oct 30th in Colorado Springs. Way to go Warriors!

 

*Come support our Boys Varsity Hockey Team as they play Cherry Creek tonight at 8:15 p.m. at South Suburban Sports Complex on County line Road. Hope to see you all there!

 

*Attentions Swimmers - the Warrior preseason swimming clinic will begin on Monday, October 25 from 3:40-5:10 p.m. If you are interested in joining in, go to the pool on Monday ready to swim. Information can be found on the team website under "news and announcements" or in the pool office.

 

*Attention all current AHS Girls Dive Team members and to anyone interested in joining the girls dive team this year. There will be a meeting TODAY, October 22 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. to meet the new dive coach and to talk about the upcoming season. Meet at the pool.

 

*All girls wanting to play basketball this coming season plan to attend our Pre-Season Camp which begins Wednesday, 10/27 at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Gym and Friday at 3:45 p.m. Come and join the most successful Girls Basketball program in Littleton!!! *ABK Girls Soccer is forming teams for a Fall Indoor Soccer Session through South Suburban.  If you are interested in participating, contact the ABK Girls Soccer Booster Club at abkgirlsbooster@gmail.com.  Space is limited and games are Nov. 1 through Dec. 20.
