 General Announcements

*Seniors! Are you the outdoorsy-type with volunteer hours to prove it, and a plan to pursue a degree with an emphasis on climate, natural resources, or the environment? Check out the Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado Grossman Scholarship worth $5000! Deadline to apply is March 26th. See your counselor, or stop by the Post-Secondary Center in room S1401 for more details.


*Come out to Bad Daddy's Burger Bar in the Streets of Southglenn, Sunday, February 26 from 5-9pm. Enjoy a wonderful dinner and support the Arapahoe Band and Guard all at once.  10% of all purchases will be donated to AHS Band & Guard.


*Students!  Now is the time to sign up for a locker partner for next year.  You can find the locker partner request form on the AHS website under Registration 2023-2024.  The deadline to sign up for a locker partner is February 24th.


*There will be a FREE Alive @ 25 class Wednesday, March 1st at 3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W-1874.  This is a 4 1/2 hour class.  The Sheriff’s Office will pay the $79 fee if you are voluntarily taking the class.  If you are 15 ½,  you can get a driver's permit after taking the class.  You can sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us  and use the password - arapahoe.  A lot of insurance companies give you discounted rates if you have taken the class.  Any questions ask Deputy Englert.



Athletics

*CONGRATULATIONS to your Centennial League Champion Girls Varsity Basketball  team. They had an exciting win over Grandview on Saturday at Cherry Creek 47-43 to win the Centennial League Championship!  The Girls Varsity also are the 8th seed in the State Tournament and will be hosting Denver East HERE TONIGHT at Arapahoe at 6:00pm. Come out and support this amazing team and  PACK THE HOUSE!

Tickets are $5 for students and 60+, $8 for adults. NO STUDENT PASSES can be used for this game.  Tickets can be purchased online at Ticket Spiket or with cash at the door.


*The Girls' Soccer season starts in one week with tryouts starting on February 27, 2023.  If you plan to try out, please register as soon as possible, as you will need an approved current physical, which could take a couple of days to process.  A Freshman and New to ABK “Meet and Greet” virtual meeting will be held on Thursday, February 23, at 6pm.  This meeting is for incoming Freshmen or anyone new to the program to meet with the Coach and a few Seniors.  For an invite contact the Booster Club at abkgirlsbooster@gmail.com.
