 General Announcements

*Check out the Lost & Found table in the cafeteria.  There are coats, hoodies & bags with swim items.  Also, check the front office for water bottles.  


*Congratulations to our AHS FBLA as they won the Chapter Championship out of 11 competing schools at the District conference last week.  They had the highest test scores, surpassing all other schools by an average of 11%.  


*Come to Arapahoe Vocal Music's 6th Annual Valentine's Cabaret on Friday, February 17th.  The event will  feature the Arapahoe Vocal Music students showcasing their diverse talents in the program’s primary annual fundraising concert.  Dinner & Show $25.  Show only $10-adults, $8-students, $15 at the door.   Tickets are available now at: Arapahoe Cabaret Tickets


*Students, did you know you might be eligible to join Science National Honor Society?  If you have taken at least 1 AP Science course, have a 3.5 GPA in science classes, and your overall GPA is above 3.0, then you're eligible. If you're interested in joining Science National Honor Society, please plan to attend a quick info meeting tomorrow morning, February 15th at 9:00am in Mr. Smith's room W-1884. 


*Students!  Now is the time to sign up for a locker partner for next year.  You can find the locker partner request form on the AHS website under Registration 2023-2024.  The deadline to sign up for a locker partner is February 24th.


*Graduating Seniors who live in Highlands Ranch: have you spent a lot of time serving your community? Apply for the Highlands Ranch Community Scholarship for a chance to receive $2500 for college! Applications are due March 3rd. For more details, see Naviance or stop by the Post-Secondary Center.


There will be a FREE Alive @ 25 class Wednesday, March 1st at 3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W-1874.  This is a 4 1/2 hour class.  The Sheriff’s Office will pay the $79 fee if you are voluntarily taking the class.  If you are 15 ½,  you can get a driver's permit after taking the class.  You can sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us  and use the password "arapahoe".  A lot of insurance companies give you discounted rates if you have taken the class.  Any questions ask Deputy Englert



Athletics

*CONGRATULATIONS to our Arapahoe Cheerleaders as they are the 2023 NATIONAL Champions in the D1 Medium, Non-tumbling Gameday division!  They competed in Florida last week at the National Cheerleading Championships.

*Calling all interested Girls Lacrosse players. There is a mandatory player and parent meeting this Wednesday, February 15th in the forum at 7:00pm. Come meet the coaching staff and hear about details of the upcoming season.  Please register now through the AHSwarriors.org site before the meeting.  You will need to have a current physical uploaded and booster fees paid before tryouts on February 27th.  

*Anyone interested in being a part of the 2023 Arapahoe Warrior Track and Field team should attend an informational meeting Thursday, February 16th at 3:40pm in Room W-1529.  The meeting will be brief as we will discuss the upcoming spring season.  If you are unable to attend,  please see Coach Lienemann sometime before the end of the week.  It’s very important to register ASAP.  An uploaded current physical is required. Come and be a part of the Arapahoe track family.

*Any girls interested in playing for ABK Soccer in the Spring need to register through the AHSWarriors.org site now.  An uploaded current physical is required.  Tryouts will start Monday, February 27th.  No approved physical, no tryouts, no exceptions.  Also, there will be a ‘New To ABK Girls Soccer’ online meeting Thursday, February 23rd at 6pm.  Contact the booster club at abkgirlsbooster@gmail.com to get an invite.  All registered freshmen will get an automatic invite.  Spread the word.
