Hey Warriors! It’s Warrior Week! Show your support for Adam’s Camp
by coming to the many events throughout the week. On Wednesday there will be a senior vs. staff
basketball game at 7:00 pm in the Main Gym. Tickets to each event are $5, and
will be sold during both lunches. There
are also a few new events this year! Don’t
forget to wear your favorite sports apparel on Wednesday and your AHS 50th
anniversary t-shirt on Friday for the all-school assembly! Let’s show our school spirit and help out
Adam’s Camp!
For
students who are participating in a stupid human trick during Wednesday night's senior vs. staff charity basketball
game, there will be a mandatory meeting Wednesday morning
at 6:45 am in Room C19. See Mr. Brandberg
in the World Languages office with any questions.

ALL ARAPAHOE ARTISTS! Art
Attack is Back! The 10th
Annual Art Attack is underway and the Art Department is now collecting pieces
for the show. If you are interested in
entering please swing by the art office and pick up your entry forms. We will be collecting art work through the 4th
of April so don’t wait. For more
information or answers to any questions please see Mrs. Hawthorne, Mrs. Svigel,
Ms. Davidson, or Ms. King.
Students, the Project Linus group is still dedicated to having
every Arapahoe student receive a blanket. If you have not received a
blanket yet, and would still like one, please sign up. The list is on the table
next to the clinic in the guidance office.
FBLA will
be hosting Arapahoe's first annual Blacklight Volleyball Tournament April 2nd at 6PM in
the Main and Auxiliary gymnasiums. Come cheer on your classmates as
they compete to win the title!
Due to
new federal mandates, after March 21st - ABSOLUTELY NO food, candy, or
cookies can be purchased from the DECA store during lunch. The DECA store
will be selling ONLY beverages during that time. Please plan accordingly.
Athletics
The
JV Tennis Team opened their season with a win over East 7-4 yesterday. Awesome start ladies. The team plays Grandview at Powell today
starting at 3:00. Come over to Powell and support the JV tennis team. The Varsity tennis team won their
season opener against East yesterday 4-3. The Varsity team will play Grandview
at the AHS courts today starting at 3:00. Come out and cheer the
Varsity tennis team to another victory.
The sophomore
baseball team remains undefeated after their 11-3 win over Regis! Your sophomore
team is at home playing ball this week. They will play Cherokee Trail today at 4:30
and Cherry Creek at 4:30 on Thursday.
Need a break from homework? Come
help us cheer on the sophomore team and grab a hotdog, brat or burger at the snack
shack! Go Warriors!
This afternoon your Varsity and JV girls’
lacrosse teams will take on the Air Academy High School teams down at the
K-Dome at Air Academy High School. Varsity game time is 6:00 pm, followed by the JV game at 7:15. Come support your Warriors. Down the Kadets,
Arapahoe!
Your Warrior Varsity baseball team takes the
field tomorrow at 4:00 to take on Chatfield. Come and watch the action as we
battle the Chargers. It's a great way to enjoy a beautiful spring afternoon!
The
Spring Swim Waiver will be given on Thursday morning, March 20th at 6:00 am at the AHS pool. You must pre-sign up
with Mrs. Leyden. You can stop by the Women's PE Office or send her an email.
Only current 9th -12th graders in LPS may take the test.
You must be ready to swim at 6:00 am. Be at the pool by 5:50. Currently enrolled seniors cannot take the
test.
