Members of National Honor Society, our monthly
meeting is happening after school this Wednesday in
the auditorium. Please join us in the Forum at 2:25 on Wednesday for a quick update on what's happening
in the world of NHS!
Attention all National Business Honor Society
members. There is a meeting today after school in Room E9.
Warriors,
your AHS Library could use your help! We
still have 81 library books out there. If you have a library book, please return
it to the Attendance Office. If you are not sure if you have a book out
or not, please check the Library Overdue list on the bulletin boards in the
North and South hallways as well as the bulletin board across from the
Bookkeeper’s office. No fines will be charged. Thanks for your
help!
The Art
Department, along with the Art Club, will be hosting an open studio pottery
class after school every Tuesday during the month of March. Starting tomorrow, from 2:30 to 3:30 anyone
is welcome to come down to E4 to learn how to make a ceramic bowl. The bowls
that we create will be used in an upcoming fundraiser on April 26th featuring
handmade bowls and homemade soups, to support the Claire Davis Fund. Our goal
is to create over 300 unique bowls and we need your help. If you have
ever had the desire to use the Pottery wheel or learn to make a bowl by hand,
you are welcome to join in the fun. Hope to see you Tuesday
FBLA is
hosting Arapahoe's first Blacklight Volleyball Tournament on April 2nd. Sign up packets are available to FBLA members on March 12th and
open to all other interested students March 13th. Teams will be accepted on a first come, first
serve basis. Packets can be picked up at the next club FBLA meeting or in the
business office.
Athletics
Come
watch our Unified Basketball and Cheer team play the Heritage Eagles at the Pepsi
Center tonight at 6:30 pm before the Denver Nuggets take on the Minnesota
Timberwolves. You may purchase your
tickets for this game online. Please
come support the Unified team in defeating the Eagles! Any questions, come see Ms. Hernley in Room
S6.
The boys basketball team has advanced to the "Sweet
16" round of the State Tournament! Your Warriors will host Smoky Hill on Wednesday,
March 5th with a tip-off of 7:00 p.m. We will be
pre-selling tickets in the cafeteria during lunches both Tuesday and Wednesday as
there will be no SBA passes accepted at this playoff game. Ticket prices
will be $8 for adults and $6 for students. Go Warriors!
