General Announcements

The TSA State Conference is just around the corner . . . are you ready?  There will be an important mandatory TSA meeting today after school in Room E9 for all students attending the TSA State Conference.  We will be passing out t-shirts, entry labels, and last minute paperwork regarding the conference.  You must attend!  See you then!

Athletics

The Arapahoe Girls Varsity basketball team put a stomping on Smoky Hill Friday night by winning 71-29!  That puts their record at 17 and 4 now!  Leading scorers were Jennah Knafelc (26) and Macy Ziegler (14), Rebounds were led by Annabelle Brewer (4) and Kat Abt (4).  Now your Lady Hoops need your support!  This Wednesday, February 18th they take on Cherry Creek at Arapahoe at 7 p.m.  They need the stands filled to support them to a win! It's going to be a great game as both Arapahoe and Creek have won against each other already this season.  It's also Senior Night, so please come out and support the Girls Varsity basketball team!  Let's show them support for an amazing 17 and 4 season so far!  Go Warriors!

Congratulations to our 2015 State Girls Swim and Dive Team and their 6th place finish at the CHSAA 5A State Championships.  We had 16 swimmers and three divers qualify to participate, with five swimmers continuing on to swim in finals with the following results:

- Ella Moynihan - Won both the 200 Free, and the 500 Free
- Laurel Eiber - Placed 8th in the 50 Free, and 14th in the 100 Free
- Delaney Smith - Placed 10th in the 200 IM, and 7th in the 100 Breast
- 200 Free Relay - Laurel Eiber, Payton Moody, Anna Hansen, Ella Moynihan with a 5th place finish
- 400 Free Relay - Delaney Smith, Lauren Eiber, Anna Hansen, Ella Moynihan with a 5th place finish

This week Pink Cards for spring sports will be handed out in the cafeteria from 7:00 a.m. - 7:15 a.m. and then again from 2:15 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  Distribution will be on Wednesday from only 2:15 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.  You must register online and have a current physical on file with the Athletic Office before you can receive your pink card.  Practice officially starts on Monday, February 23rd.  Remember "No Pink Card - No Practice"!  Go Warriors!!!

Registration for the boys swim and dive season is open!  All issues with the registration website have been fixed!  Swim/ Dive is a no-cut sport, so all are welcome!  If you have enjoyed summer league, used to swim as a kid, or think chlorine smells like summer, then you need to be a part of the team!  Swim/dive season starts February 23^rd.  Register atwww.ahsboysswimdive.com.

Did you know that girls lacrosse is the fastest-growing sport at the high school level with 746,859 participants nationwide?  Mark your calendar for Girls Lacrosse tryouts being held February 23 – 27.  We are excited to welcome all freshman and returning players!  We are also welcoming all Arapahoe student-athletes from swimming, soccer, cross country, basketball, etc. to jump in this spring and play lacrosse.  It will be a great year under the motivating leadership of our talented coaches, Stacey Birlson and Carrie Levi!  To sign up, please go to the Arapahoe Warriors Girls Lacrosse website at: http://girls.ahslax.org/reg/info.php?sid=1823.   If you have questions, please contact Keith Golding at keithcoach@comcast.net or 303.898.4129.
