Announcements
The PSAT results are back! Please come to the
Guidance Office to pick up your score report and test booklet. These resources
are a great way to study for your next standardized exam.
Is there someone extra special in your life? A
love? A friend? A secret crush? The class of 2018 is selling Valentines during
both lunches through Thursday in the cafeteria! They are just $1 and
will be delivered during 3rd period on Friday.
Feed your mind and your stomach by joining the
world of e-books at the AHS Library. Starting this week, a winner of a $10 gift
card to a local eatery will be randomly drawn from those students who have
checked out and downloaded an AHS e-book during the current week. Winners will
be announced in the library at the end of second lunch each Friday for five
weeks beginning this Friday, February 12. Take a chance to grow both your intellect and
your waistline!
Athletics
Arapahoe is excited to offer girls field hockey as a
CHSAA sanctioned sport starting the Fall 2016 season. The parent/player information
meeting that was cancelled last week due to inclement weather has been
rescheduled for today at 7:00 p.m. in the forum. Hope to see you
there!
Anyone
interested in being a part of the 2016 Arapahoe Warrior track and
field team should attend an informational meeting today at 2:30 in Room S-14. We
will be discussing the upcoming spring season and our 5th annual track camp. Come and be a
part of the Arapahoe track family and help build something great. If you
are currently in a fall sport and unable to attend please see Coach Lienemann
sometime before the end of the week.
The Boys’ Swim and Dive team kickoff is this Thursday, Feb. 11 at 6 pm in the AHS Library. Parents and Swimmers/Divers are all invited. Use the door on the North side of the building, near the baseball field. Due to the snow delay, our plans changed with ordering merchandise. If you want to order a swim cap, (and your swimmer will want an AHS cap) you have to do it prior to the meeting Thursday. Deadline for caps: this Wednesday, Feb. 10, 10 pm. There are no re-order opportunities for the caps. Everything else can be ordered on Thursday (you will need checkbooks). Go online to order the caps: www.outofbreathsports.com.
