General Announcements
The State Champion
Arapahoe Color Guard is looking for new members to join the 2017/2018
team! We have clinics the next three Wednesdays (May 3, 10, & 17) for
anyone interested to come and try it out. Clinics will be
from 4-7 pm on the Marching Band Field. No experience necessary,
we will teach you! There is a required
meeting for all Guard and Marching Band students with at least one
parent, this Thursday (May 4) from 6-8 pm in the Theater. Go see Mr. Funk in the band office for more information.
All students
registering for A.P. Literature and Composition next year, need to pick up their summer reading packets
from Ms. L Eclair's desk in the Language Arts office. The assignment is also
available on her website.
Congratulations to our 2017 Mr. Arapahoe winner, Max Wilson!
Thank you to all of our participants and individual competition winners. Mrs.
Abner and Mrs. McNiff are very grateful to our sophomore student council
students, the AHS tech crew and anyone else who helped with the event.

Important reminder to everyone attending after prom
this year. The school dress code will be strictly enforced and you are not
allowed to wear any items of clothing that are deemed inappropriate by
Arapahoe staff and administration (for example, t-shirts with inappropriate
language/sayings on them). You will be told to change, or to cover up with a
t-shirt provided by AHS or to leave after prom all together if found in
violation of the school dress code. Thank you for your cooperation.
Attention members
of National Honor Society...
Our last meeting of
the year is happening today after school in the forum. At this meeting,
senior members can leave after a couple of quick announcements, and then
juniors will hold elections for next year's officers. Juniors interested
in running for office do not need to register ahead of time, but they
should plan to speak about their qualifications for approximately 1
minute. Service logs for this semester can also be turned in at this
meeting if you're ready to turn yours in, or you can also turn them in at Mr.
Smith's desk in the science office anytime before the end of the
school year. See you today at 2:25 in the forum!
Need to get a summer job? Then you should attend the Young Adult
Job Fair this
Friday from 4 to 6 pm at the Arapahoe/ Douglas Works
Workforce Center. 13 employers will be there looking to hire for various positions.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: Don't forget to Jet Set to
international destinations when you attend After Prom on May 6th.
Your favorites are back - casino, caricatures, tattoos and more along with
new entertainment you don't want to miss - laser tag and
hypo-comedian! Eat all your favorite foods and win amazing prizes!
You will not want to miss out on the best After Prom party in Colorado.
Tickets on sale for $20 during both lunches on May 3, 4, and
5. Tickets at the door will be $25. Bring your ticket and ID to
After Prom.
Free Alive @ 25 class TODAY at 2:30 pm in room W 1874. If you are voluntarily
taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee. If you are
15 1/2 you can get drivers permit after taking the class and a lot insurance
companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line. Any
questions ask Deputy Englert
Seniors-please check your lunch money account
this week, if there is a balance you can get a refund, if you owe anything,
this account must be paid up, please check in with the AHS kitchen staff.
Monies you have left over can be transferred to a sibling or donated to the
“Lunch Shares Program”, have your parents check with the Nutrition Services
Office.
Come
out this afternoon for one of your freshman baseball team’s last home
games! They face Eaglecrest at 4:30 on the Varsity field.

Anyone interested in trying out for the
Arapahoe baseball summer teams, we will be holding tryouts May 8th and
9th from 5:30-8 pm on the JV baseball field.
Tryouts for the 2017-2018 cheer team are being held starting at 5:00 p.m. on May 8th in the
Wrestling Room. Please check out the Cheer team page on the Athletic
website for more details.
Attention
girls hoping to try out for volleyball next fall. We will have open
gyms on Tuesday nights from 6.30-9 pm, now until finals week!
Please show up early to help set up nets. No forms or fees, just show up ready
to play! GO WARRIORS!
The regular season for your
ABK Soccer teams came to a close yesterday. Varsity beat Mullen by a
score of 3-1 improving their season record to 11-4. The playoffs start
next week with your Warriors in position to make some noise! JV also beat
Mullen by a score of 3-1 and finished their season with an outstanding record
of 13-2 including 9 shutouts. Congratulations to Coach Conway and Coach
Krause and all the players. Finally, your Fresh/Soph team ended their
season last week with a record of 10-2. Coach Baker, Coach Cavarra and
all the team should be very proud of their season. Please come out and
support your Varsity team next week in the playoffs. Schedule for next
weeks games comes out on Sunday.
