General Announcements 

*Congratulations to our Warrior Speech and Debate students John Eliot Fung who went to the final competition round twice in International Extemporaneous and Susie Benedict in Poetry Interpretation final round in recent Speech and Debate tournaments.  Our next Speech & Debate Tournament will be at Highlands Ranch High School this Saturday, February 21st.


*Warriors - Please come check the Lost and Found in the Front office.  We have so many water bottles and jackets. 


*And now news from the Post-secondary Center:  Iowa State is visiting on Thursday and Ohio University on Friday, sign up in Scoir (SCORE).  Save the date for the Spring College Information Night on March 16th!  Bring your family for a Q&A panel with college admission reps and then visit with 30 regional and national colleges!  New scholarship opportunities arrive every day, Stop into the PSC and pick up an application.


*Attention Sophomores and Juniors - Invitations to join National Honor Society were sent out to eligible sophomores and juniors.  Please check your email for instructions on completing the application.  Applications are due February 24th.  See Ms Price, Ms Dusto, or Ms Brock with questions.


*Join us in supporting your AHS Thespians while getting some terrific food at Parry’s Pizza at Streets of Southglenn on Friday, February 20th. Mention AHS Thespians to your server and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the program.


*Attention Warriors - do you need some tutoring?  Our National Honor Society is here to help!  Peer tutors are available before, during and after school.  Sign up by scanning the QR code on flyers throughout the school or on the Daily Announcements on the AHS website.



Athletics

*Anyone interested in participating in Track and Field this spring needs to get registered as soon as possible.  The official first day of practice is February 23rd.  See Coach Wadsworth in the Counseling office with any questions.


*Calling all new and returning Flag Footballers!  Join us for an AHS Flag Football Interest meeting on Thursday, February 19th at 4:15pm in room E1287.  Learn about the program, offseason schedule, culture and expectations heading into year 3 of the program.  Newly interested athletes brought by returning players will be entered into a chance to win gear and equipment.  This is a player only meeting.  A parent meeting will occur closer to May.
