Announcements
Winter Dance Guest Forms are due today, January 22nd. Only
Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors may bring a guest from another school to the
dance. Please bring your completed form to the Attendance Office and make
sure you have a copy of your guest's ID attached to the form.
The speech and debate team will meet today after school for its
weekly meeting in C15 at 2:30.
Attention
Science Students: make up labs for last week will be held today
after school! If you missed lab last week, please go to the normal make
up lab classroom immediately after school today.
Reminder: Alive @ 25 class today in room W101.
Class will start at 3pm. Even if you haven't signed up on-line you can take the
class, just show up at 3 p.m. Bring a
snack. Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.
What time
is it? It’s time for the winter play All
in the Timing. Come see this hilarious contemporary comedy that opens
Thursday January 31st and
runs through February 2nd. Tickets are available online right now,
and will also be on sale during lunches next week. Tickets are $5.00 for
students and $7.00 for adults. The drama club is also partnering with the
AHS sock drive. Please bring used clothing and new socks to the show and
give your support to those less fortunate.
Hey Warriors, the competition to create the
official prom design has begun! This design will be featured on the tickets and
posters for this year's prom, "Beneath a Painted Sky." The contest
ends on February 1st, so be sure to submit your ideas to Mrs.
Crookham in the Math Office as soon as possible. There will be a great prize
for the winner, so enter today!
Attention Sophomores and Juniors! Are you interested in
the Teacher Cadet or Health Science program? What about Broadcast
Journalism, Criminal Justice or Cosmetology? Now is the time to see your
counselor and sign up for the Area Career and Technical School courses for next
school year. Spaces in these programs are limited, so be sure to sign up
as soon as possible! The deadline to submit an application is February
28th!
Athletics
The JV
team continues their winning streak beating Overland on Friday 40-20.
This brings their conference record to 4-0. High scorers were Annabelle
Brewer with 11 and Jordyn Vega with 7 points. Josie Tugman also had a
great game and had 4 points, 5 steals, 3 deflections, 6 rebounds, 4 blocks and
2 assists. The team had a record low 10 turnovers, they had 33
deflections, 14 steals and 11 assists. Their next games are this
Wednesday at 4:00 at Mullen and Friday at home against Grandview at 5:30.

Congratulations
to the Lady Warriors Freshman Girls Basketball team. They started the
second round of league play with a big win over the Overland Blazers (57-19).
The Freshman team has been hit by the injury plague and have persevered
nicely. Coach Williams would like to give a big "Thank You" to
Katie Crowley and Dalaney Mullins for their help on Friday against Overland.
Congratulations
to the Varsity Wrestling team and their victory over Heritage High School
Friday night. The grapplers won, 69-6, and won 13 out of 14matches.
Please
come out and support the Special Olympic basketball team as they go up against
the Littleton Transition team tonight at 7:00 p.m. here at Arapahoe High
School's main gym.
The
boys swim and dive season is almost here! For everyone who wants to be on
the 2013 AHS Boys Swim/Dive team, there is a team registration meeting tomorrow,
January 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Equipment, including the team
suits, needs to be ordered and paid for at the registration meeting so both
parents and students are asked to attend.

Page to sign up for baseball, boys swim/dive, track and field, girls golf, girls
soccer or girls tennis.
