All speech team members, especially those
competing in this Saturday's tournament at George Washington High School,
should plan to attend today's meeting after school in C15.
Just a reminder to all the students that
checked out books from the library before winter break, most of those books are
due back. Avoid those book fines, get your books back to the library!
Hey TSA Club . . . ready for the home stretch to TSA State.
We will meet tomorrow after school in Room E6. Time to crank it up on your
projects. It's not too late to get your paperwork and money in for the
State TSA Conference. We want you all to participate in this exciting
conference! The deadline for turning in money and paperwork is NEXT
Wednesday, Jan 16! See Mr. McMullen for questions, concerns, or
paperwork. See you all tomorrow!
Have you ever been on Facebook? Ever sent an instagram or a
Tweet? This Friday, we will be having class assemblies in the theater. Our
speaker will be Justin Patchin, the Director of the Cyber Safety Research Center
at the University of Wisconsin. His presentation is not one to miss. Look for the schedules posted around the
school to see when your class will be attending.
Athletics
Congratulations to the Varsity girls basketball
team for their two wins over winter break. The Lady Warriors defeated the 4A
number 1 Ranked Broomfield Eagles 57-46, and a 9 and 1 Mountain Vista team
74-38. Your Lady Warriors are currently 9 and 0 and are Ranked 2nd in 5A . Come
out and support your Lady Warriors on Wednesday night here at AHS against
Cherry Creek currently ranked 10th in 5A. JV begins at 5:30 and Varsity at 7:00.
Heritage Hockey varsity game
is tonight at South Suburban Ice Arena at 7:45 p.m. This is the
team for all LPS hockey players, including many players from AHS, so please
come support the team.
