General
Announcements
Tomorrow,
Arapahoe High School has the privilege of hosting the Colorado Supreme Court.
Because of this, the library will be closed that day to student use in
order to provide a place for a breakfast and luncheon for the justices and
their clerks. The library staff realizes this will be an inconvenience and ask
that you plan ahead for your study needs. Rarely does a school get such an
opportunity to witness our legal system in action firsthand. Your flexibility
and understanding is appreciated.
Hey Warriors! Do you want to be a part of a
championship team at Arapahoe? Our award winning Winter Guard is starting
up this week! If you want to be part of the action, learn to spin a flag,
dance and perform, please attend our info meeting tomorrow at 7 p.m. in
the AHS band room! You can also talk to Mr. Funk or Mr. Bailey for
more information. Go Warrior Winter Guard!
The Winter Percussion Ensemble will be holding their
first informational meeting tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. in the AHS band
room. If you are interested in learning how to play in the drum line or
front percussion ensemble and have the opportunity to perform around the state
with our award winning Winter Percussion Ensemble then please attend this
informational meeting. You can also talk to Mr. Funk or Mr. Gust for more
information.

Warriors, following
their exciting week last week, featuring a concert by Katie Perry, Lakewood
High School is challenging all high schools in America to raise $1,000 to
donate to flood victim relief. Arapahoe High School always rises to a
challenge. We are asking all students to bring $1 to donate to Flood Victim
Relief this
Thursday. Student Council Members will have cans to collect donations.
Lets show our support by raising well over $1,000!
Attention
all Juniors and Seniors. Do you have a 3.0 grade point average?
Have you taken three business classes? If so, pick up an application

Once
again it’s time for the annual Halloween Candy Jar Count in the
Library!! Come down to the library and guess how many Halloween candies
are in the glass jar! The student who comes the closest to the actual
amount will win the jar full of candy! Only one guess per day, please. The
winner will be announced on Halloween during the daily announcements. Happy
Halloween from your AHS Library Staff!
Do you owe a library
fine? Want to help someone in need? Bring nonperishable food items to the library
to reduce your library fine. For each food item brought in, your library fine
will be reduced by fifty cents. This is a great way to take care of your
library fines and help someone else at the same time.
Attention all Arapahoe Students . . . we are calling on you to help
others in our community who are in need.
We will be collecting non-perishable food for the students and community
at Field Elementary through November 1. Please help us support the Food for
Field drive by bringing cans or non-perishable food to the boxes located in
each classroom. The winning class will receive a prize. We will also be hosting
a raffle during both lunches. Please
bring two non-perishable items in exchange for a raffle ticket. The
winners of ten Deca Dollars will be announced November 1. Show
your support for the community and make sure to donate!
