Attention
all Sophomores: Sign up for the Aspire Test has begun now through next Wednesday, October 15 in
the Guidance Center. The test will be given on Saturday, November 1
from 7:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. The cost of the test is $35.
It’s that time of year
for eligible juniors and seniors to start applying for membership in National Honor Society! If you are a junior with a
cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, or a senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or
higher, then you are eligible to apply for membership. Eligible students
should have received a letter at their home address, inviting them to join and
also explaining the application process. If your GPA makes you eligible
for NHS, but you haven’t received a letter at home, please contact Mr. Smith or
Ms. McGeorge in the science office, or Ms. Leclaire in language arts. This letter also tells
you about important informational meetings that have been going on this
week. If you are applying for membership in NHS, and you have not
attended one of these meetings yet, your MUST attend the meeting after school
today at 2:20 in Room W-103. Remember that these meetings are only for
eligible juniors and seniors, so if you are unsure whether you are eligible,
please contact Mr. Smith, Ms. McGeorge, or Ms. Leclaire..
Imagine a project so captivating that you want to spend hours
working on it to get it just right. If this sounds intriguing, then the Technology
Student Association club is for you! That’s what happens when you join
the TSA Club. Students work individually or as a team in such areas as
Biotechnology, Website Design, Dragster Design, Engineering Design, Flight
Endurance, Photographic Technology, CAD, Extemporaneous Speaking, Structural
Engineering, Fashion Design, Video, and many more. To find out more about

Calling all writers and artists!! Have you recently written a college
essay, or a personal narrative or story? How about a poem? Do you have a photo
or work of art you're proud of? The Muse is looking for student work of
all kinds to fill up this year's magazine. For details about how to submit your

Athletics
The
Arapahoe Cross Country teams had a great showing at the league meet yesterday
despite being soaked to the core. The boys teams placed third for Varsity
and JV and second for the open. The girls teams placed fourth for Varsity,
third for JV and second in the open. Regionals are next Thursday, then
State! Just keep running, running Warriors!
Congrats
to the Warrior Volleyball program on their sweep of Smoky Hill last night.
Don't forget to join us next Tuesday for Senior Night at our last home game
of the season. We play Cherry Creek. Go Warriors!
Your
Arapahoe Varsity boys soccer team celebrated a rainy senior day with a 1-0
victory over Cherokee Trail. Wilmer Ramirez scored the goal for the Warriors.

Arapahoe Warriors vs. Grand Junction tonight at 7:00 p.m. at LPS Stadium.
Be sure to get there early as we honor our senior players and parents. Go

Pink Cards for Winter Sports will be
distributed in the Cafeteria on Wednesdays from 2:15-2:45 p.m.
You must register online and have a current physical on file prior to receiving
your pink card.
Attention Baseball Players: The
Arapahoe High School Baseball Booster Club has opened registration for the
2014-2015 Spring season. If you are interested in trying out for the AHS
baseball team, please go to the web site and register. Although tryouts
are not scheduled until the end of February, you'll begin to receive
information from the Booster Club and information regarding Winter
Workouts. Also, please put October 14th on
your calendar for our first Baseball Booster Club meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the Forum. www.arapahoebaseball.com.
