Attention
students, the library will be closing at 2:20 p.m. today, due to a faculty meeting.
It’s that time of year
for eligible juniors and seniors to start applying for membership in National Honor Society! If you are a junior with a
cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, or a senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or
higher, then you are eligible to apply for membership. Eligible students
should have received a letter at their home address, inviting them to join and
also explaining the application process. If your GPA makes you eligible
for NHS, but you haven’t received a letter at home, please contact Mr. Smith or
Ms. McGeorge in the science office, or Ms. Leclaire in Language Arts. This letter also tells you about important
informational meetings going on this week. If you are applying for
membership in NHS, you must attend one of these meetings to learn about the
club and the application process. There are three more meetings still
being held for you to choose from this week: tomorrow morning at 6:55 in
Room C-12, and also today or tomorrow after school at 2:20 in
Room W-103. Remember that these meetings are only for eligible juniors
and seniors, so if you are unsure whether you are eligible, please contact Mr.
Smith, Ms. McGeorge, or Ms. Leclaire.

to the boys freshman/sophomore soccer team for their huge victory over the Cherry
Creek sophomore team by a score of 2-0. Come support the soccer team tomorrow as
they battle Eaglecrest to remain unbeaten.
Today at 4:30 your Arapahoe Varsity boys soccer team plays Cherokee Trail
on Senior Day at the Arapahoe soccer field. Come celebrate the soccer careers
of our seven seniors.
Fast times
at Arapahoe High!!! Come cheer on
our boys and girls cross country teams as they battle the seven other teams in
the Centennial League. Races start at 3:30 today, October 9th, at
DeKoevend Park.
Attention Baseball Players: The
Arapahoe High School Baseball Booster Club has opened registration for the
2014-2015 Spring season. If you are interested in trying out for the AHS
baseball team, please go to the web site and register. Although tryouts
are not scheduled until the end of February, you'll begin to receive
information from the Booster Club and information regarding Winter
Workouts. Also, please put October 14th on
your calendar for our first Baseball Booster Club meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the Forum. www.arapahoebaseball.com
