Congratulations
to the Arapahoe Marching Band and Color Guard for placing 5th out of over 20
marching bands (1A-5A) this past weekend at the Woodland Park
Invitational! The band and guard scored a season high of 72.90 points and
had a great show leading into State!!! Please
come and support the band and guard at the CBA State Marching Championships on October
25, 2014. Last week, Arapahoe locked in the 6th seed in 5A competition
and secured an automatic bye into semifinals!!! Arapahoe will perform at 2:00
p.m. at the Air Force Academy and we hope to see everyone there!!!
Good
morning Arapahoe! The food drive has officially begun and will continue
through the 31st. Bring in your canned goods, cereal, baby food, and
ethnic foods to donate. You can also bring in spare change at lunch where
it will be collected to purchase food items. All donations go to Field
Elementary! Get donating!
Remember
that if you're applying for
membership in National Honor Society, applications are
due today by 3:00.
You need to deliver your application and $15 application fee to Mrs. Kazakoff in the Attendance Office, and if
you're able to drop it off earlier in the day, you can save yourself from
standing in a long line after school. Thanks!
Attention
all National Business Honor Society, FBLA and DECA Members. The CU Leeds
College of Business will be giving a presentation today after school in Room
E9. Come to the meeting to learn more about Business College at the
University of Colorado.
Reminder:
Alive @ 25 class today in W101 at 2:45 TODAY, if you signed up please show up. There is space
still available for the class. If you are 15 1/2 and are interested in taking
the class it is free, it is normally $39. Just show up at 2:45. The class goes until 7:15 p.m. Any questions ask Deputy Englert.
Just a reminder that the next TSA meeting will be tomorrow after
school in Room E6.
The deadline to sign up for the Aspire test has been moved
to Tuesday, October 21. The test will be given on Saturday,
November 1, from 7:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. The cost of the test is
$35. Come to the Guidance Office to register for this exam!
FBLA meeting this Wednesday October 22 at 2:30 in Room
E9. We will
be discussing Trick or Treat Street, Shred a thon and sign up for
competition. If you have any questions,
visit Mr. Sawyer or Mrs. Swank in the business office.

Warriors! Do you love sports? Have you always wanted to be an announcer for a
sporting event? If you answered yes to both of these questions, then now is
your chance. We are looking for announcers for the annual DECA Dodgeball
tournament. We will be holding tryouts on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 2:30 in classroom S1. See Ms. Krueger if you have
any questions.

Congratulations
to the JV and Sophomore volleyball teams on their victories over the Cherokee
Trail Cougars last Thursday night. Way to finish your season strong! Speaking
of finishing their season strong...a big high five to the Freshman Warriors on
their first place finish in the Grandview volleyball tournament on Saturday. This
marks the third consecutive year Coach Buckner has won this tournament.
Congratulations, Coach Buckner and the Freshman volleyball team!

Warriors! Come rock your run at the Stride 5k or 10k event on Sunday Oct. 26th at Ketring Park. You can register for
this run or walk event at www.runthestride.com . Thank you for supporting your
school and the LPS Foundation by participating in this district wide event.
Pink Cards
for winter sports will be distributed in the cafeteria Wednesday from 2:15-2:45 p.m.
You must register online and have a current physical on file prior to receiving
your pink card.
