Regional High School Playwriting Competition. His play, The Tale of the Almighty Sword, will have professional reading during the Colorado New Play
Summit on Feb.

the Aspire test results are back! Please come to the Guidance Office to pick up
your results.
Hey Warriors! The 2015 Arapahoe High
School Winter Dance, A Night in Lights, is this Saturday
night from 7:00-10:00 p.m. in the AHS Cafeteria. It is
semi-formal and is a Sadie Hawkins night where the girls invite the
guys! The cost is $10 per person in advance, and $15 per person
at the door. Tickets go on sale during both lunches, beginning today.
This dance is so much fun, you won't want to miss it! Only
Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors may bring a guest from another school. Dance
guest forms are located in the Attendance Office and are due today.
Athletics
Congratulations to the girls Varsity swim team
last week on their win over Cherokee Trail and for taking first place at the
Arapahoe Relays on Saturday! Good
luck to the Varsity team today at home against Smokey Hill at 4:30. Please stop
by the pool to cheer them on!
The
Arapahoe Lady Hoops Varsity team won their game against Overland 70-39 Friday
evening. Great overall team effort with four players scoring double
digits; Jennah Knafelc (24 points), Macy Ziegler (15 points), Katie Crowley (11
points) and Jordyn Vega (10 points). All around awesome rebounding by
Madi Matthews, Kat Abt, Annabelle Brewer, Katie Crowley and Macy Ziegler. Your
Varsity Lady Warriors are 9-3 on the season so far. Come out and support them
this Wednesday as they take on Smoky Hill at Smoky Hill at 5:30 p.m. On Friday night at AHS the JV girls basketball
team defeated Overland 64-24. Outmatched
from the start, AHS dominated on both offense and defense. Caroline McPhillips
led all JV scorers with 16 points. Next
game is tomorrow night at Smoky Hill at 4:00 p.m.
Last Wednesday the JV Lady Warrior basketball team lead from start
to finish in a 42-24 win over Eaglecrest. Pressure defense and balanced
scoring were keys in the win.
Today
is Arapahoe's first home game for your Unified Warriors. We will be playing
Chatfield. Our Unified Basketball team and Unified Cheers have been practicing
since early December, come and watch them defeat Chatfield, 7:00 p.m. in the Main Gym.
Attention!
Any girls interested in playing tennis this spring: There is a mandatory
registration meeting for all girls trying out for the team and their parents
today at 6:00 p.m. in the Forum.
It’s time for the boys swim and dive season! Join us for
the Kick Off meeting on Thursday, January 22 at 6:00 p.m. in the library. Interested swimmers and divers
(returning and new) should plan on attending the kick off meeting. Registration
is open so if you know you’re going to swim or dive, please register before the
kickoff meeting. See you Thursday, January 22nd at 6:00 p.m. in the Library!
