Students and families!  On Wednesday, November 1st, come and learn about the process involved in determining college costs, applying for financial aid for both public and private schools, and how some scholarship applications require the filing of the FAFSA.  The presentation, which is open to all students and families, will begin promptly at 6pm in the Theater.


Attention Juniors and Seniors - If you are planning on going on the 2018 Washington DC trip in March please see Ms Winn in the social studies department by the 30th of October to get registered before the first major deadline.


The MUSE is back in session and we need you. Submit your art, music and writing to the MUSE by November 17th and you'll be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a gift card. Have an idea for the cover of the MUSE, submit your cover art designs as well. For more information, see Mr. Spare in the Language Art Department.


Halloween costumes are allowed next Tuesday but please make sure they are appropriate and adhere to school dress code. In addition, masks, face painting, weapons and/or any weapon facsimiles are not allowed.


All AHS students are invited to participate in the Halloween Lunchtime activities to be held during both lunches on Tuesday, October 31.  The fun will include a costume contest, prizes will be awarded!


Have you heard the news? Treasure Island is amazing! You can see it in the AHS theatre tonight or tomorrow. Tickets can be bought online or at the door. Don’t miss the adventure!


Stop by the Safe Schools table in the cafeteria during both lunches and make a pledge to be a Smartie!


Have any extra canned foods lying around?  Is your piggy bank overflowing?  The annual AHS Canned Food Drive is here!  During lunch hours, Student Council will be collecting cans and coins to support Field Elementary School's food pantry.  Be sure to bring in cans and coins to your Student Council representatives to support this worthy cause.

Boys basketball - All Seniors and Juniors wanting to tryout for basketball, Preseason camp starts next Monday 10/30 at 2:30 in the Aux Gym.  Freshman and Sophomore camp starts Monday 11/6 at 5:30.  Make sure you register on the Arapahoe Athletic Web page by Monday the 30th,  See Coach Jansen if you have any questions.

Your Varsity Boys’ Soccer team was victorious in their first round playoff game against Monarch yesterday by a score of 3-0. Zach Westerman scored all 3 goals. The shutout effort was led on the defensive side by Zander Hahn, Zach Tripp, Jacob Vogel, and Goalkeeper Spencer Cobb. They now advance to the Sweet 16 round with a game next Wednesday in Grand Junction – details to come. Congratulations Warriors!
