General Announcements
Juniors and seniors! The Post Grad Center will host Colorado State University in E-1287 (the tiered classroom) today and Colorado Christian University will be in the Post Grad Center. Please bring your signed blue passes with you to the visits.
Tonight is the Colorado Council's Day/Night College Fair right here at Arapahoe High School from 6:00-7:30pm in the auxiliary gym! Please use the west event entrance to enter the building. A link to register has been sent to all families. Although registration is not required, it is a time saving feature for you! Hope to see you there!
Seniors! No College Application Boot Camp this week due to the PSAT bell schedule. However, a new session will begin next week on Wednesday, October 18th. Please register if you plan to attend - a registration link was sent to all families last Friday.
On Thursday, October 12th, there will be an informational meeting for juniors and seniors interested in taking Concurrent Enrollment classes through ACC during the 2018 spring semester. This meeting will be held in the Forum during both lunch periods; students can bring their lunch and eat it during the meeting.
The Daniel's Fund Scholarship is now open! Daniel's Fund looks to celebrate seniors who exhibit exceptional character, leadership and a commitment to serving their communities while also demonstrating financial eligibility for college. If you are interested in applying for the Daniel's Fund, please see Ms. Zimmerman in the counseling office.
ATTENTION ALL JUNIORS AND SENIORS: The 2017/2018 trip to Washington D.C. is here again! This trip is an amazing opportunity to experience Washington D.C. and Capitol Hill first hand. There will be a parent/guardian meeting for those interested in this trip on Wednesday, October 11th at 7 PM in the Room W-2882. Please feel free to join your parent or guardian, and if you are unable to attend the meeting, please see Mrs. Winn in the Social Studies department.
Picture Retake day is right around the corner! Mark your calendars - WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 11th in the East Hallway (by the Bubble) all day. This is your last chance to have your photo taken for the 2017-2018 school year! Please note: you will need to return your old packet to the photographer before getting your retake. Are you new to Arapahoe High School? Or did you simply miss all of the other opportunities to have your picture taken? No problem! Come and get your picture taken. Remember - this is your final opportunity of the year. Order forms are in the Main Office.
It’s time for eligible juniors and seniors to apply for membership in National Honor Society! If you are a junior with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, or a senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher, then you are eligible to apply for membership. If your GPA makes you eligible for NHS, but you haven't received a letter mailed to your home, please contact Mr. Smith or Ms. McGeorge in the science office, or Ms. Leclaire in language arts. This letter also tells about important informational meetings going on today and tomorrow, before and after school. If you are applying for membership in NHS, you MUST attend one of these meetings to learn about the club and the application process.

If that's you come to Arapahoe High School's Inaugural Car Show Saturday October 14th from 9am -12 pm in the West parking lot! Bring your friends and bring your family! All donations will be going towards the Wounded Warrior foundation.

Attention baseball players!!! There is a booster meeting Tuesday October 10th at 7 pm in the forum.
Congrats to the Varsity softball team for defeating Overland 16 to 0 on Wednesday night. A big shout out to Sophomore Kali March, for hitting her first high school homerun. Congratulations on a great season ladies. Way to finish strong. Congrats to the JV softball team for beating Overland 13 to 5 on Wednesday night. It was a great game with lots of timely hits and great teamwork. Awesome job ladies!
Congratulations to the cross country team runners for some outstanding performances on Saturday morning at the Windjammer Invite. The boys JV team won in impressive fashion with the 5 scoring members of the team finishing in the top 12 out of 287 runners. The boys and girls teams combined to set 60 new personal best 5k times. Great running and good luck on Thursday at League.
