General Announcements
Juniors and seniors! Be sure to log in to Naviance and check out the newest college visits that have been added to the schedule: the University of Denver, Northern Arizona University, Metro State University, Princeton University, Colorado College, and Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.
Seniors! A new session of College Application Boot will begin next week at 7AM on PLC Wednesday, October 18th. Each session builds on the next, so do not miss the initial session. You must register to attend this session of Boot Camp. Registration closes on Monday, October 16th.
If you are interested in being a part of Sources of Strength, there's still time! Peer Leader Training will be held next Thursday, October 19th. If you have not turned your permission slip in yet, please do so in the counseling office! Questions? See Ms. Zimmerman in counseling.
Today, there will be an informational meeting for juniors and seniors interested in taking Concurrent Enrollment classes through ACC during the 2018 spring semester. This meeting will be held in the Forum during both lunch periods; students can bring their lunch and eat it during the meeting.
Do you love cars? Are you a gearhead? Or do you just generally like to look at some cool cars? If that's you come to Arapahoe High School's Inaugural Car Show Saturday October 14th from 9am -12 pm in the West parking lot! Bring your friends and bring your family! All donations will be going towards the Wounded Warrior foundation.
This week is National School Lunch Week! Today treat yourself to our homemade apple crumble when you eat school lunch.
Seniors this Friday, October 13th from 10 - 1pm stop by and visit Herff Jones’ table in the cafeteria for Graduation products like announcements and class rings.
Athletics
Please join us for Senior Night, today at 4:00 pm on the Arapahoe varsity soccer field prior to the start of the last regular season home game against Cherokee Trail High School. The seniors honored this year are: Mitch Engerman, Chris Grauberger, Nash Herman, Riley Holub, Jack Sanders, Graham Schultz, and Zach Tripp. We look forward to seeing you at the field today to celebrate this great group of seniors. As well, yesterday, the Boys’ Varsity Soccer team was victorious over Smoky Hill High School by a score of 3-1. Cameron Gail and Zander Hahn scored for Arapahoe. The Junior Varsity defeated Smoky Hill by a score of 2-1. Great effort Warriors!
Attention Volleyball Fans! Tonight is our last home game of the 2017 season. Please come out to support the team as they face off against the Overland Trailblazers. Varsity starts at 6.45 in the Sitting Eagle Gymnasium. GO WARRIORS!
