Attention Students: You should now be in your
Advisement Class. If you are unsure where your advisement class is meeting,
please check your schedule in Infinite Campus or find a teacher or
administrator.
Hey
Freshmen! Student Council needs your help. Please come to the short meeting
after school today in C21 to plan for the upcoming Fall Food Drive. It's time
to serve and feed others....that's what all good warriors do!
Attention All
Juniors And Seniors: The 2016 trip to
Washington D.C. is here again! This trip is an amazing opportunity to
experience Washington D.C. and Capitol Hill first hand. There will be a parent
meeting for those interested this Wednesday at 6 PM in the Room E-9.
Please feel free to join your parent, and if you are unable to attend the
meeting, please see Mr. Hawthorne or Mr. Meyer in the Social Studies
department.
Hey AHS! This weekend at the Bruin Novice at
Cherry Creek High, your Speech and Debate Team had four of our members score an Excellence Award. Awesome
job to everyone who came out to compete! Go warriors!
The next TSA meeting is today at 2:25 in
room E9. Reminder that this is the deadline for the 1st turn-in date for
your TSA dues. Please review the competitive events and come prepared to
sign-up for a few!! See Mr. McMullen for questions.
Great News Student Warriors!! This week is National School Lunch Week.
In observance of this special week, every time you purchase one breakfast
meal and one lunch meal per day, your name will be
entered in a raffle to possibly win a prize. One Grand Prize
will be awarded: A Portable Bluetooth Speaker, and two Runner-Up Prizes:
iTunes Gift Cards. Winners will be
announced the following week. See you at Lunch!!
Remember
Freshman year when you read Inherit the
Wind in English class? Well now you can see it
live on stage! This Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:00pm in
the AHS auditorium. Tickets are on sale at lunch, $5.00 for students and $7.00
for adults. Come see this amazing show put on by the AHS Drama Club.
Lost and Found: Students,
please check the table in the cafeteria for clothing items and the Attendance
Office for smaller items. All items will be donated at the end of the week.
Athletics
Congratulations to the boys fresh/soph soccer team for their
8-1 victory over Eaglecrest. They end their season tomorrow with a huge game against Cherry Creek. The game will
be at home and played on the varsity field, come out and cheer them to victory.
The Varsity team’s Senior
Night, will be today at 3:30 pm on the Arapahoe varsity soccer field prior to the start of
the last regular season home game against Bear Creek High School. The
final Junior Varsity game of the season will be played at 4 pm today
on the JV field against Bear Creek. At the conclusion of tonight’s game,
a special remembrance for Noah Graham (ABK 2010-2013, AHS class of 2014) will
take place. Noah’s family and friends will be in attendance and Coach
Hampshire will be presenting the Graham family with a gift from ABK.
Attention all girls interested in playing Lacrosse this
spring: There will
be a mandatory meeting tomorrow in the AHS Forum from 6:30pm - 8pm. We will be discussing important dates and
information as it relates to the 2016 season. Please plan on attending!!
Come support
your Warrior Volleyball players in their two big matches this week at Cherry
Creek on Tuesday, and Cherokee Trail at home on Thursday! GO
WARRIORS! Any boys interested in playing volleyball in the spring need to sign
up in Coach Wright's office in the Copy Room.
