Announcements
Today is Veterans’ Day. As we continue
to recognize and remember Veterans whose courage continues to protect the
freedoms and values of the American people, please remember the words of Elmer
Davis, “This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it
is the home of the brave.” Regardless of the day, always share your
thanks with the men and women of our Armed Forces.
Ho Ho Ho, Hello Warriors!! It’s that time of year again for the
AHS Toys for Tots Drive. Santa is coming to bring a new toy for each boy and
girl at Gilpin Montessori Public School and the Denver Indian Center and we
need your help! Please join us by bringing a NEW toy to the Attendance Office
to meet our goal of 1000 toys. Let’s make it a great holiday for the
kids! We know Arapahoe can make it happen!
If you are interested in
enjoying and getting involved in sports like you have never have in the past,
join us tomorrow in the main gym to kick off the Unified Basketball/Cheers
season. Unified is the true meaning of Warriors taking care on one another.
Everyone is welcome.
There is an FBLA meeting today after school in
room E9. This is the last opportunity for students to sign up for
competition. Walking taco's will be served after the meeting in the
cafeteria for all FBLA members.
Athletics
Congratulations to the Varsity and JV Toms for
taking 3rd place at Centennial League last night! Great job ladies!
Your Arapahoe Cheerleaders are competing today for their League Competition held at
Eaglecrest High School. Come show your support! JV performs at 6:31 pm and Varsity at 6:51 pm.

Anyone
interested in being a part of the 2016 Arapahoe Warrior track and
field team should attend an informational meeting tomorrow at 2:30 in Room S-14. We will be
discussing the upcoming spring season as well as winter workouts and
the indoor meet schedule. Come and be a part of the
Arapahoe track family. If you are currently in a Fall sport and
unable to attend please see Coach Lienemann sometime before the end of the
week.
Arapahoe
will host Ralston Valley in the 1st Round of the football playoffs this Friday, at LPS Stadium with a game time
of 7p.m.
All Arapahoe students will need to purchase a ticket for this playoff game - no
SBA passes will be accepted. We will be pre-selling tickets in the
cafeteria during lunches on Thursday and Friday.
Ticket prices are $5 for students and $8 for adults. Go Warriors!
Tryouts for Varsity and JV winter hockey season
are Nov 13 at 3:00 and Nov
14 at 4:20. Tryouts are at the Ice Ranch and are open to players
from all 3 LPS schools. For more information, go to the Heritage Athletics
website and click on ice hockey. There will be an opportunity for open
skates on Nov 10, 11, and 12 at 2:50. This is a chance to come up and get warmed up
before tryouts. These are open to any player.
