Hello
Warriors! We are extremely proud to announce the names of the Semi

Program, as well as the College Board National Hispanic Scholar. These
students are honored for their outstanding performance on the 2014 PSAT, which
they took last October. The Semi Finalists are: Atlee Witt,
and Zach Woosley. The
Commended Scholars are: Ell Eshleman, Lexie Golden, Julia Goncalves,
Ethan Hoggan, Lucy Lutz, Sarah McEntire, Abigail Rictor, Hunter Sanborn, Graham
Shapley, Sarah Slack, Ethan Snow, Gabrielle Stein, Emma Vahle, and Emily Webb. The College Board National
Hispanic Scholar is: Lena Chavez. If you see these seniors in
class or in the halls, please congratulate them. Great job Warriors!
Have you checked the Library Fine list
lately? Students have the opportunity to reduce their Library fine by 50₵ for
every non-perishable food item brought to the library. Help yourself while
helping someone else in need. Canned food trades will be accepted in the
Library through November 9th.
Hey Warriors! This weekend our Speech and Debate team
competed at the Great Pumpkin Novice Tournament held at Castle View High
School. A special shout out to Elizabeth Eshleman for acting as the Presiding
Officer and getting nominated for outstanding speaker in Congress and to Joseph
Miller for receiving an Excellence Award in International Extemporaneous
Speaking. Awesome job to everyone who came out to compete!
Tomorrow we will be holding the annual UNC Math Competition from 2:30 - 4:00 in
room S-9. If you would like to sign-up please see Mr. Low in the math
department.
There will be a muse meeting after school today in E11, see
you then.
National Honor Society has a meeting tomorrow for
current members. This meeting is for seniors who were inducted last year,
not for new applicants who just turned in applications last week. If you
are currently an NHS member and would like to hear more information about
important volunteer opportunities, please come for a quick meeting after school tomorrow in
the Forum.
