Announcements
Hello
Warriors! We are extremely proud to announce the names of the Semi
Finalists and Commended Scholars in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship
Program, as well as the College Board National Hispanic Scholar. These
students are honored for their outstanding performance on the 2014 PSAT, which
they took last October. The Semi Finalists are: Atlee Witt,
and Zach Woosley. The
Commended Scholars are: Ell Eshleman, Lexie Golden, Julia Goncalves,
Ethan Hoggan, Lucy Lutz, Sarah McEntire, Abigail Rictor, Hunter Sanborn, Graham
Shapley, Sarah Slack, Ethan Snow, Gabrielle Stein, Emma Vahle, and Emily Webb. The College Board National
Hispanic Scholar is: Lena Chavez. If you see these seniors in
class or in the halls, please congratulate them. Great job Warriors!
Hey Warriors! Please bring in more items and drop them off in
classrooms and locations throughout the school. All food is being delivered to
Centennial Academy and East Elementary schools. Your help will make a big
difference!
Have you checked the Library Fine list
lately? Students have the opportunity to reduce their Library fine by
50₵ for every non-perishable food item brought to the library. Help
yourself while helping someone else in need. Canned food trades will be accepted
in the Library through Monday.
Athletics
Good
luck to Arapahoe Warriors Brooke Dreier and Lizzie Waters. They will be
competing at the state gymnastics competition today at Thornton High School.
Your
Varsity Boys’ Soccer team advances to the Elite 8 Quarterfinal round with a
game tomorrow against
Mountain Vista High School. This playoff game will be played at LPS Stadium at 1 pm. Come cheer your Warriors to victory!
Arapahoe will
host Bear Creek in the 1st Round of the football playoffs today at LPS Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
All Arapahoe students will need to purchase a ticket for this playoff game - no
SBA passes will be accepted. We will be pre-selling tickets in the
cafeteria during lunches today. Ticket prices are
$5 for students and $8 for adults. The Football booster club will be selling
t-shirts today during
both lunches in the bubble at the East entrance. T-shirts are $10
each and have the undefeated schedule with scores on it. Go Warriors!
Varsity
Volleyball has their Regional Tournament tomorrow at
Ralston Valley High School. Student tickets are $6 and adult tickets are
$8. We play Thunder Ridge at 11:30 am and
Ralston Valley at 1pm. Let's cheer them onto STATE!! GO WARRIORS!!
Come out and
support your Arapahoe Toms in their first competition tomorrow at 8:45am at
Legacy High School. Go Warriors!
Attention AHS Baseball Players and Parents: Our next AHS Baseball Booster Club meeting is set for Tuesday, Nov. 10th, at 7:00pm in the Forum. This will be our last Booster Club meeting for 2015. Please plan to attend and receive important information on Winter Workouts, Strength and Conditioning, the 2016 season and Spring Break. If you plan to play baseball, please plan on attending the meeting.
