Announcements
Hey Seniors! Student Council wants to invite
you to leave your mark on Arapahoe. Join us on December
2nd at 8:15 in the senior hallway to put
your hand-print on the senior wall! Afterwards head to
the cafeteria for hot chocolate and coffee.
Calling all artists and writers. Muse,
Arapahoe's own literary magazine is currently accepting submissions. The deadline
is December 18th. All submissions between now and December 18th will be entered into a raffle for free
stuff.
Hey Warriors!! The annual AHS Toys for Tots Drive is in full
swing. Santa is coming to bring a new toy for each boy and girl at Gilpin
Montessori Public School and the Denver Indian Center. We are well on our
way to our goal of 1,000 new toys, but we still need your help. With
Thanksgiving coming up, be on the lookout for those sales. Please bring any
donations to the attendance office. Let’s make it a great holiday for the kids!
Student Council is thrilled to announce that we
will hold a Miracle Minute at the beginning of Advisement tomorrow.
The money raised during this minute will be donated to our Toys for Tots fund.
With this money, your student body officers will purchase toys that we will
later donate to the students of Gilpin Montessori Public School. Whichever
class raises the most money will be given Krispy-Kreme doughnuts during the next
advisement period. Don't forget to bring your wallets to advisement tomorrow so
you can participate in this great cause.
Attention Seniors!
Please be sure to check your school email address regularly. Important
information regarding your college applications is being sent to you. For
some of you, further action is required before high school transcripts &
letters of recommendation can be sent on your behalf. For those of you who
have not requested and paid for transcripts for any remaining colleges in your
list, please do so THIS WEEK. In addition, if you still need to request a
letter of recommendation, complete the appropriate steps before the break to
ensure you can meet your January deadlines.
The first round of club
photos for the yearbook will be tomorrow starting at 2:30 p.m. on the
theatre stage. The following clubs will be photographed: Hike Club, History
Bowl, Speech & Debate, TSA, Aspects of Society and Science Bowl.
See posters around school or your club sponsor for times and more info.
Attention Students! All
lost and found items that have been turned into the office are now in the
cafeteria on a table. Phones and keys etc. are still in the attendance office.
Please come by to take a look and pick up your items by Friday.
Athletics
The varsity locker room lockers must be cleaned
out by Thursday, November 19th. Any items left after 12 o'clock
noon on Friday will be
considered donations to a local charity.
