Students introduce Mr. McWilliams
Today, in honor of Veterans’ Day,yesterday, I (Jerry McWilliams) will be sharing a
brief story about Iwo Jima. (Jerry will read script).
Ho Ho Ho, Hello Warriors!! It’s that time of year again for the
AHS Toys for Tots Drive. Santa is coming to bring a new toy for each boy and
girl at Gilpin Montessori Public School and the Denver Indian Center and we
need your help! Please join us by bringing a NEW toy to the Attendance
Office to meet our goal of 1000 toys. Let’s make it a great holiday
for the kids! We know Arapahoe can make it happen!
If you are interested in
enjoying and getting involved in sports like you have never have in the past,
join us today in the main gym to kick off the Unified Basketball/Cheers season.
Unified is the true meaning of Warriors taking care on one another. Everyone is
welcome.
Attention Students! The
library will be closing at 3:15 today instead of 3:30. Hours will be back to
normal tomorrow.
Athletics
Congratulations to the Varsity and JV Cheers
for their competitive routines last night at League. JV placed 2nd and
Varsity placed 3rd! Way to go Cheers!!
Come out this Saturday and support your Varsity Toms as they compete at the UDA Mile High
Competition at 8:45am at
the National Western Complex. Go Warriors!
Anyone
interested in being a part of the 2016 Arapahoe Warrior track and
field team should attend an informational meeting today at 2:30 in Room S-14. We will be
discussing the upcoming spring season as well as winter workouts and
the indoor meet schedule. Come and be a part of the
Arapahoe track family. If you are currently in a Fall sport and
unable to attend please see Coach Lienemann sometime before the end of the
week.
Arapahoe
will host Ralston Valley in the 1st Round of the football playoffs tomorrow, at LPS
Stadium with a game time of 7p.m. All Arapahoe students will need to purchase a
ticket for this playoff game - no SBA passes will be accepted. We will be
pre-selling tickets in the cafeteria during lunches today and tomorrow.
Ticket prices are $5 for students and $8 for adults. Go Warriors!
Tryouts for Varsity and JV winter hockey season are tomorrow at 3:00 and Saturday at 4:20. Tryouts are at the Ice Ranch located at 841 Southpark Dr. Littleton, CO 80120 and are open to kids from all 3 LPS schools. There will be an opportunity for open skates today at 2:50. This is a chance to come up and get warmed up before tryouts. These are open to any player.
