Announcements
Attention
Seniors: Your Senior Class Panoramic Picture Retake will be taken on Tuesday, December 15th
at Noon in the Main Gym.
Remember - this is the only time pictures will be taken of the entire Senior
Class, so DON'T MISS OUT! BE THERE on Tuesday, December
15th at Noon!
Warriors,
remember this week is all about making a deliberate decision to love the people
around you. The events surrounding our Deliberate Acts of Love and Kindness
campaign are as follows: dress in purple
for the Boy’s Varsity basketball game tonight at 7:00 in the Sitting Eagle Gymnasium, Movie Night is Friday night at 8:00 in the cafeteria
showing The Incredibles; Sunday morning all
students are welcome to watch the sunrise at Red Rocks; and next
Tuesday, after finals, we will have a pancake breakfast in the cafeteria
at noon.
Any students interested in joining us for the Toys for Tots
delivery on December 16th, please stop by the attendance office and
pick up a permission slip. The bus will leave at 12:15 after finals and will
return by 3:30. Please bring a sack lunch and wear festive clothing. Permission
slips are due this coming Monday and spots are going fast.
There is
an important FBLA meeting today after school in room E-9. At this meeting
students will confirm their competitive events and plan the loco for cocoa
event.
Attention
all artists and writers! The FINAL deadline for submitting your work to the
Muse is December
18th. You
will be entered into a Chipotle gift card raffle for every piece you
submit. See the muse website under the activities page for details on how
to submit your work.
Have you taken the time to thank a warrior today? Students, please show
your gratitude to fellow students and staff members by filling out a thank you
card and giving it to a friend or having it sent to a teacher. Blank cards are
available in Guidance, Attendance, the Study Center, the Library and in the
departmental offices. Feel free to drop off your cards in Guidance for delivery
to a staff member and give your cards for other students directly to that
person. Please see Ms. Kershaw or Mrs. McNiff in Guidance with questions!
Hey Key Clubbers! Thanks
for all that showed to up Monday's meeting! We are still short several
volunteers for this
Saturday's Denver Rescue
Mission event. If you are available to help out, please contact Nick or
Amelia-their information can be found on the Arapahoe website. We understand
there were lots of conflicts with this week's meeting, so if you were unable to
make it and have any questions about current events, please contact one of the
officers. We will not meet next week because of finals, so good luck and we'll see
you after break!
Attention Seniors! Please check your school email! There is
an important survey that the yearbook staff would like you to fill out. The
deadline is tomorrow at 2:30 so please complete the form
as soon as possible! Thank you.
Hey Speech and Debate members-just a reminder
that we will have our White Elephant Holiday Party tomorrow in room C15. Please
bring a wrapped gift. Hope to see you there!
During finals
week, all areas of the library, with the exception of the study rooms, are
silent study only. Please plan ahead should you need to complete group
work. Study rooms are available for this purpose on a first come, first
served basis. A study room may be reserved ahead of time by using the link on
the AHS Library web page or by talking with a library staff member.
Athletics
Hey Arapahoe tribe! Come cheer on your boys
basketball warriors tonight for our first home game! We are off to a
great start and have had good crowds! Let's fill up our student section tonight
and don't forget to wear purple! Also it is a Chick-Fil-A night
after the game. All warriors that go for a meal after the game will get a free
dessert! Go Warriors!
Your Lady Warriors JV Basketball Team defeated
Highlands Ranch last night, 67 - 23, and remain undefeated
in their first four games of the season. Come cheer for the JV Girls on Friday night against Heritage!
