Please
stand and join us in the Pledge of Allegiance
General Announcements
Reminder, on Friday we will have guest speakers in the Forum each
period who will share their experiences as military veterans. Everyone is
encouraged and welcomed to come to the Forum during their off periods to hear
their amazing stories.
Why Toys for
Tots? As Charles Dickens once said, “No one is useless in this world who lightens
the burdens of another.” The
Arapahoe community is called to help lighten the burden for many families this
holiday season by helping with the 15th Annual Toys for Tots! AHS has adopted Garden Place Academy and the
Denver Indian Center, with our goal to collect 1,000 new, unwrapped toys for
boys and girls ages 3-12. For more
information on how you can participate, please stop by the Attendance Office.
It's Winter Guard Time! If any Warriors are interested in being a
member of the award winning Arapahoe Winter Guard but you missed the
informational meeting on Monday, November 7th, please let Mr. Funk
know. We will get you the information you need regarding participation
and tryouts. Happy Spinning and Dancing!
There is a meeting after school today
for current members of National Honor Society. Members, please join us in
the Forum at 2:25 tomorrow for a quick meeting to learn about important
volunteer opportunities. For students
who have recently applied for membership in NHS, letters will be sent to your
home next week informing you of your status.
Arapahoe Warriors! Thank you very
much for your generous contributions to the Fall Food Drive. Over the
past two weeks we've collected 7,863 cans and $706 to donate to the Field
Elementary Food Bank. Thank you very much for all your efforts and
contributions. A huge shout out to Ms. Parmenter, the Concert Choir,
Orchestra, Choralettes, Women's Choir, Men's Choir and Arapahoe Singers for all
your hard work in collecting thousands of cans.
Thank you to the following TRIBE classes, as they collected the largest
amount of cans and cash for their grade level: 9th Grade: Mr. Jansen, 10th grade: Mr. Fisch,
11th grade: Mrs. Gillespie, and 12th
grade: Mr. Eggelston. Next TRIBE those classes will be treated to root
beer floats!
There is an important FBLA meeting
today after school in room E1287. Students will continue to sign up for
competitions and learn more about competitive events.
