General Announcements
Happy opening night! It's time for the
Pageant Plays. You can still buy tickets at lunch or online, $5.00 for
students, $7.00 for adults. The shows start at 7:00pm, break a leg cast and
crew!
Next Friday,
November 11th is Veteran's Day. On that day we are honored to have guest
speakers in the Forum every hour who will share their stories of serving our
country in the Armed Forces. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to come to the
Forum during their off periods to listen to this special presentation.
Need a job? Come by the business
department hallway to see the new Arapahoe High School job board with a variety
of updated job opportunities for you.
Hey Warriors, the Student Council food
drive is finishing up! Don’t forget to bring in your canned goods,
cereal, baby food, and ethnic foods by November 4th. Drop your cans off
in your TRIBE classroom. You can also, bring your loose change to your
TRIBE teacher, where it will be collected to buy more cans. The TRIBE
class in each grade level that brings in the most change wins! All
donated food benefits families at Field Elementary School.
November is upon us and that means that
the Varsity Speech and Debate season is beginning! We wish a tremendous amount
of luck to our competitors in the Cherry Creek Classic tournament, going on
this Saturday, November 5th!
We also would like to encourage any additional varsity Speech and Debate
members to join us for our usual practices, after school on Tuesdays and
Thursdays in room C1452. It's also not too late to join the team! If you're
interested in argumentation, current events, or competitive acting
opportunities, please see Ms. Dodge in the Language Arts department or check
out the Speech and Debate website, available from the activities page
Attention juniors and
seniors who are interested in the Washington D.C. trip this spring.
Please see Mr. Hawthorne or Mrs. Winn ASAP in the Social Studies office so you
can register for the trip and pay the enrollment fee. Registration for
the trip and the first payment are due no later than Friday, November 4th.
Next week, the Post Grad Center will
host Gonzaga University, Fort Hays State University, and Calvin College.

Athletics
Attention Volleyball Fans! Varsity will
host Regionals this
Saturday in Sitting Eagle Gymnasium! Arapahoe plays the first and
third matches which start at 10.30 and 1.30. Come out and support the
players as they work to earn a bid to State! Reminder that your Activity Passes
will NOT work for postseason matches! Tickets are $6 for students and seniors
and $8 for adults...thank you for your support! GO WARRIORS!
The swim waiver is
full. You can email Mrs. Leyden and get on the waiting list. The
next swim waiver will be in March 2017.
Your Varsity
Boys’ Soccer team was victorious in a double overtime shootout yesterday
against Rangeview High School. Jacob Draudt scored the goal in regulation which
ended in a 1-1 tie. A host of others scored on penalty kicks during the
shootout, and Goalkeepers Jeremy Belin and Spencer Cobb made some outstanding
saves for the win. They now advance to the Elite 8 Quarterfinal round with a
game this Saturday
