 General Announcements

*Warriors, did you know the Daily Announcements are on the AHS website?  Go to the little black box with the small megaphone marked Daily Announcements to catch any announcements you might have missed.

*Next week's college rep visits include: the Universities of Oregon, Nebraska and Northern Colorado; Puget Sound, Tulane, Western, Adams State, Westmont, Gordon, Whitworth and Wooster!  Register now in Naviance!


*Seniors who are applying to college: Application Boot Camp starts next Wednesday, September 21st, at 8:30am in the Forum! Knock out your applications with help from Arapahoe's counselors before Colorado's Free Application Days are October 18th through 22nd


*Juniors and Seniors not currently in NHS - IF you are eligible to apply to National Honor Society, you will receive an email with instructions on how to apply. If you have questions about eligibility, please refer to the activities website for the NHS  "How to Apply" section.  If you still have questions, see Ms. Bownds (1285E) or Mrs. Gutierrez (World Lang office).  Seniors who are already members DO NOT need to REAPPLY. For these senior members, our first full council meeting will be Monday, September 26th from 3:40-4:00pm in the tiered classroom E1287.  Come and meet your Senior Officers!


*Hey Warriors, Homecoming activities start this Saturday, September 17th with a round-robin powder puff tournament from 2pm - 6pm on the AHS Turf Field.  We hope you join us!  Click on this Homecoming 2022 presentation link OR see the AHS TVs for all the week’s activities and events.

On Monday - dress-up day is Pajama Day so break out your most comfy and school-appropriate PJs. Also, come support your fellow Warriors at the 2022 Homecoming Talent Show at 7pm in the theater.  Tickets are $5 and will be sold at the door!

*Homecoming dance tickets sales start today in the cafeteria during both lunches.  Tickets are $20 or $25 at the door.  Homecoming t shirt sales will start on Tuesday, September 20th during both lunches in the cafeteria until Thursday, September 22nd  Each shirt is $8.  Seniors and Sophomores wear black; Juniors and Freshmen wear gold. Cash or a check will be accepted for both tickets and shirts.

*If you are planning to bring a guest (someone who is not an AHS student) to our Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 24th, please stop by the Front Desk or Activities office to pick up a Guest Pass Approval Form.  This approval form is due by Tuesday, September 20th at 3:00pm.

*Attention Warrior Wrestlers! If you would like to be part of our Homecoming float build, please meet at Arapahoe High School at 10:07am on Saturday morning! Meet on the North Side of the High School (Near the portable classrooms)  ready to get “Back To The Future” and have a great time!

*Juniors: This year’s PSAT/NMSQT test will be offered on Wednesday, October 12th.  This test is optional but it is used to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship program.  The fee is $20.  To register, follow this link to the September Drumbeat or this form in our announcement.  Sophomores may take the test if they like, but please know it is optional.  Sophomores have their own link.  The registration deadline is Monday, October 3rd


*Warriors, there is a free Alive@25 class Monday September 26th at 3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W1874.  If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee.  If you are 15 1/2 you can get a driver's permit after taking the class and a lot of insurance companies give you a rate discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Register on-line at www.aliveat25.us  and use the password  ARAPAHOE.  Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.


*Littleton Public School DRIVERS EDUCATION - Earn high school graduation credit this Fall by taking driver education. Go to the LPS Drivers Education website to check out dates and times.  Classes are filling up fast.


Athletics

*The Boys Varsity Tennis Warriors celebrated a clean sweep victory against Eaglecrest last night with a score of 7-0!  The boys are in action at Heritage, today at 3:30pm.  


*Boys JV Black Tennis had a strong finish beating Eaglecrest 11-0 last night.  The boys are home against Chaparral on Monday.

 

*Come out this Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm to the AHS East Parking Lot to get your car washed and support AHS Field Hockey at the same time!
