 General Announcements

*Warriors, our Unified Kickball team plays at home on Wed. September 14th. Please come out and play with us or cheer us on. We all can unify with Unified at the AHS Baseball field at 4:30pm. 

*Who are the classmates that best embody positivity, kindness, and integrity? Please complete the Homecoming Royalty nomination form in your school email and let's shine the spotlight on some of our best Warriors during Homecoming week!

*Club Cafe is this Tuesday, September 13th.  Come outside during lunch and check out what clubs we have at Arapahoe.  We can't wait to meet you!   Being a Warrior goes beyond the classroom! 

*Are you interested in science, technology, engineering, math, and more? Then TSA is the club for you! TSA is a national club that offers fun, competitive, creative problem-solving events in a wide variety of STEM-related fields!  Drop by our kickoff meeting on TODAY after school in the tech lab, E1286, to learn more!

*Juniors & Seniors: we just added CU Boulder to our rep visit schedule this week! Join us in the Post-Secondary Center tomorrow, September 13th, at 3pm to hear more about why this might be the school for you!

*Representatives from the US Army will be in the cafeteria today during both lunches for anyone who's interested in speaking with them about how to further your education after graduation!

*Starting each Monday, we will be sharing a Mindful Moment or Tip from the mental health team. These will be ways to help you reduce stress, boost mood, keep alert, and improve academic performance. Each Monday we invite you to try a new Mindful Minute or tip to support your mental health. For this week, make one genuinely kind comment to someone new each day.

*Lady Warriors, there are 3 days left for you to get a team together for Powder Puff football.  Get 10 girls together and turn in the registration forms in order to be able to compete this Saturday in the prelims.  Next Wednesday, Sept 21st,  will be the semifinals and championship games followed by fireworks.  There is still time to join up- see Mrs. Peterson in the attendance office or Mr. Wallace in Science for more information.

*Hey Warriors. Help us kick off our homecoming week right by attending the 2022 Homecoming Talent Show!  Support your fellow warriors and cheer them on as they take the stage on Monday, September 19th at 7pm in the theater.  Tickets are $5 and will be sold at the door!

*Warriors, there is a free Alive@25 class Monday September 26th at 3:45pm - 8:15pm in room W1874.  If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee.  If you are 15 1/2 you can get a driver's permit after taking the class and a lot of insurance companies give you a rate discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Register on-line at www.aliveat25.us  and use the password  ARAPAHOE.  Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.

*Littleton Public School DRIVERS EDUCATION - Earn high school graduation credit this Fall by taking driver education. Go to the LPS Drivers Education website to check out dates and times.  Classes are filling up fast.


Athletics

*The gymnastics teams took second place at the Palmer Ridge Invite on Saturday, September 10th.  We would love for students and staff to come out and support the girls on Saturday, September 17th for a home meet at Active Athletics.  The competition begins at 3:15 p.m.

 

*Anyone interested in playing Boys Lacrosse this spring, there will be a meeting on Wednesday, September 14th in the Forum at 7pm for players and their parents.  Please enter the building through the Forum doors.  We will be sharing some important information about the upcoming season so please join us.
