Just a reminder that the Homecoming Talent Show tryouts take
place TODAY from 3:00 to 5:30 in Room N2 and N3, as well
as tomorrow from
5:00 to 7:30.
The Speech and Debate Team will hold its weekly
meeting and practice after school today beginning at 2:30 in Room C15.
Seniors: Are you interested in the prestigious
Boettcher Foundation Scholarship? If so, plan to attend an information meeting tomorrow
during 1st or 2nd lunch in the
Forum.
FBLA
meeting tomorrow at 2:30 in Room E-9. We will be introducing our competitive events
and what would be a good fit for you. Membership forms and fees are due.
Forms can be found in the Business office.
Students, if you are planning to attend the
PSAT/SAT prep course offered on Wednesday and Thursday evenings this week in Rooms W201 and
W202, please be sure to enter the building through the West Entrance.
Attention all Juniors . . . Are you interested
in participating in the Junior Class homecoming float? This Friday, we will be having a meeting
discussing ideas and themes. Anyone
interested in helping out should plan on being there. The meeting will be after school in C21 at 2:30
on Friday. See you there Juniors!
Any sophomore that wants to help out with the
homecoming float, we will have a meeting in S8 on Thursday morning at 6:45!
We will be meeting at Julia Goncalves house this weekend! More details posted

Hey Warriors! DECA invites you to become a
member of The National Dodgeball League and participate in the annual DECA
Dodgeball Tournament! This year’s theme is professional football teams and the
tournament will be held on October 23rd.
Registration will take place this week only. Each team must be made up of five guys and five
girls. Only the first 20 teams to register will be allowed to
compete. Registration packets can be picked
up in the Business Office.
Please take the time to
check the Library Overdue lists. The lists are located on the bulletin boards
in the north and south hallways, the library and Bookkeepers office. Check
periodically to make sure that you don’t have a fine or overdue book. These
lists are updated weekly. Thanks Warriors!
Athletics
Hey Warriors, the Varsity volleyball team,
currently ranked number one in the state, battles Grandview, ranked number
three, tonight at 6:15 at
Grandview. This is a huge game for them and we would love for you to come
and cheer the team on!
Come cheer on the boys tennis team today at 3:30!
Their match is against Smokey Hill on the AHS courts.
Good Luck to the Warrior Golf Team as the head
to Regionals on
Wednesday at Murphy Creek.
Attention all boys and girls swimmers and
divers: there will be a swim team meeting this Thursday after school in the Forum.
Are you interested in helping out with the
men's basketball program? We have an opening to help with practice, manage
stats, travel with the team to games and receive some nice Arapahoe basketball
gear! You should become a manager! Please contact Mr. Jansen if you have
any interest in the position. First come first serve and there are two to three
openings.
Winter Sports Registration is now open online.
Log on to www.ahswarriors.org and follow the instructions on the Home
Page to sign up for boys basketball, girls basketball, wrestling, or girls swim/dive.
There
will be an NCAA/NAIA Orientation for all
interested Juniors and Seniors scholar-athletes on Tuesday, September 24th during both lunches in the Forum. Please stop by
the Athletic Office and sign up for the meeting.
