The
first issue of the Arapahoe Herald student newspaper came out today. Look for
your copy in classrooms or in the new-stand boxes in the cafeteria.
Don’t forget that this week is the week to nominate your class
royalty and the Homecoming King and Queen for the class of 2014! Vote for
someone with great Warrior spirit. This year the nominations are through
a Google form which you can find on the Arapahoe web page!

meeting today at 2:30 in
Room E-9. We will be introducing our
competitive events and what would be a good fit for you. Membership forms
and fees are due. Forms can be found in the Business office.
Just a reminder that the Homecoming Talent Show tryouts take
place TODAY from 5:00 to 7:30.
Hey Warriors, the DECA Dodgeball tournament is
full! If you're team didn't make it into
the tournament you can still be a part of this fun and crazy event by coming
out and supporting your favorite team on Wednesday, October 23rd at 6 p.m.
Students, if you are planning to attend the
PSAT/SAT prep course offered tonight and tomorrow night
in Rooms W201 and W202, please be sure to enter the building through the West
Entrance.
Seniors: Are you interested in the prestigious
Boettcher Foundation Scholarship? If so, plan to attend an information meeting today
during 1st or 2nd lunch in the
Forum.

applying to service academies: A reminder that deadlines for Congressional
nominations are rapidly approaching! If you are interested in applying for a
nomination, see your counselor or Mrs. Lewallen in the Post Grad Center.
Deadline for Senator Udall is Friday, September 27; for Senator Bennet is Monday, September 30; for Congressman Coffman is Friday, October 11.
Attention all Juniors . . . Are you interested
in participating in the Junior Class homecoming float? This Friday, we will be having a meeting
discussing ideas and themes. Anyone
interested in helping out should plan on being there. The meeting will be after school in C21 at
2:30 on Friday. See you there Juniors!
Any sophomore that wants to help out with the
homecoming float, we will have a meeting in S8 tomorrow morning at 6:45!
We will be meeting at Julia Goncalves house this weekend! More details posted

Please take the time to
check the Library Overdue lists. The lists are located on the bulletin boards
in the north and south hallways, the library and Bookkeepers office. Check
periodically to make sure that you don’t have a fine or overdue book. These

Congratulations to the Varsity boys tennis
teams on their victory over Smokey Hill! Next match is Thursday at EagleCrest.
The JV Tennis Team defeated Smoky Hill
yesterday. The Warriors won all 15 matches. Way to Go Warriors!!
Attention all boys and girls swimmers and
divers: there will be a swim team meeting tomorrow after school in the
Forum.
Are you interested in helping out with the
men's basketball program? We have an opening to help with practice, manage
stats, travel with the team to games and receive some nice Arapahoe basketball
gear! You should become a manager! Please contact Mr. Jansen if you have
any interest in the position. First come first serve and there are two to three
openings.
Winter Sports Registration is now open online.
Log on to www.ahswarriors.org and follow the instructions on the Home
Page to sign up for boys basketball, girls basketball, wrestling, or girls swim/dive.
There
will be an NCAA/NAIA Orientation for all
interested Juniors and Seniors scholar-athletes on Tuesday, September 24th during both lunches in the Forum. Please stop by
the Athletic Office and sign up for the meeting.
