Hello
Warriors! We are extremely proud to
announce the names of the Semi Finalists, and Commended Scholars in the 2014
National Merit Scholarship Program. These
students are honored for their outstanding performance on the 2012 PSAT which
they took last October. The Semi
Finalists are: Pierceson Brown, Clairissa
Hansen, John Michael McKoy, Megan Moore, Joe Redmond, Daniel Sabey, Nick Sabo,
Zach Waanders, and Sara Wilky. The
Commended Scholars are: John Barsch, Matt Cheney, Chad Curd, Grace Marlowe,
Kimberly McEntire, and Chris Retzlaff. If
you see these seniors in class or in the halls, please congratulate them. Great job Warriors!
There will be a Muse meeting today after school at 2:30 in Room C17. New members are welcome,
and we hope to see all our past Musers there!
Picture
re-takes will be today in the Trophy hallway from 9:30 to 1:00 p.m. If you have NOT had your picture taken by the
photographer for your yearbook and Student ID photograph please do so at this
time. If you have had your picture taken
but are not happy with the results, you must return your photo packet to the
photographer in order to have retakes.
If you
ordered a picture packet at registration in August, the photos are in. You can
pick yours up on the south side of the cafeteria during both lunches, or check
at the attendance office during any other period.
Seniors
please pick up a Graduation Announcement Packet in the Main Office or Guidance Office from
Mrs. DeBow. Herff Jones representatives will be at Arapahoe High School
tomorrow and Friday during lunches in the cafeteria to accept your order
and answer any questions that you may have.
Attention DECA members: we have an All-Club
meeting tomorrow in Room E9!
Also, remember that the annual DECA Homecoming BBQ is Wednesday, October 2.

Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors, if you are
planning to bring a guest from another school to the Homecoming Dance, please
make sure your Guest Forms are turned in by 3:00 p.m. on October 1st to
Mrs. Scoglio in the Attendance Office.

class of 2017? There will be a meeting
after school in C-1. Come by to contribute to your float. If you cannot make the meeting please see Mrs. Korn or Mrs. Bretz.
Warriors, are you ready for Homecoming?? Next Monday,
this amazing week of activities gets started with the HOMECOMING TALENT SHOW!!!
It’s the first event of the week, and you don’t want to miss out! We’ve got
tons of talent packed into the show, with bands, dancers, and poets rocking the
stage! Show times are 5:00 and 7:00 in
the AHS Theater. Homecoming royalty will also be announced at the 7:00 show, and the theater will be packed,
so buy your tickets as soon as possible! Tickets will be sold during both lunches tomorrow through Monday. Let’s
start the week off with a bang!
The time is NOW, Warriors. The Race for the Cure is coming
up on Sunday, September 29th. You can sign up to run or walk the
race, or you can sign up to SLEEP IN for the Race. Yes! You can be
a part of our community efforts to have the largest high school team and you
can just SLEEP IN!!! Join our team!
Help find a cure for breast cancer! Go to the Race for the Cure
website and find our Arapahoe team.

Juniors, the PSAT test is coming. When? . . . October 16!
Registration has started and goes through
October 9. So, remember to bring $15 and your photo ID
to the Guidance Office to sign up for this important test!
Hey Warriors! Tomorrow the Spear Broadcasting Network will be calling the
football game, as your Arapahoe Warriors take on the Columbine Rebels. If you
want to support the team from the comfort of your home, or while doing
homework, check out the live broadcast by clicking on the Spear logo at the
bottom of the Arapahoe home page. Cheer on your football team while our
talented announcers present to you the inside details of the game. Go Warriors!
Athletics
The JV Tennis Team defeated Columbine yesterday
winning 14 -2. Come out to Powell today and watch the JV Team take on Mullen at 3:30 in their last home match of the
season.

“Pink Cards" for
Winter Sports will be distributed in the Cafeteria today from 2:15 p.m. -
2:45 p.m. Online registration must be completed and a current
physical must be on file in the Athletic Office before student-athletes can
receive their "Pink Card". Registration is
completed online at www.ahswarriors.org.
Hello Warrior Lacrosse Players, Are you girls
ready for a great spring lacrosse season? There are two important
meetings coming up in October. On October 7 at 7:00 p.m. in the AHS Forum,
we will hold the girls lacrosse kickoff meeting and informational program overview.
On October 30 at 7:00 p.m. in the AHS Library,
we will hold spring girls lacrosse registration. Please mark your
