Warriors!!
Stop by the voting booths in the cafeteria TODAY to cast your ballot for this
year's Homecoming royalty. Be sure to choose the students you feel will
best represent your class to the school and community this year and in all the
years to come. Voting booths will be open all day. Be sure to bring
your student ID.
Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors, if you are
planning to bring a guest from another school to the Homecoming Dance, please
make sure your Guest Forms are turned in by 3:00 p.m. on October 1st to
Mrs. Scoglio in the Attendance Office.
Hey
Freshman Warriors! Interested in helping create the homecoming float for your
class of 2017? This Wednesday, September 25, there will be a meeting after school in C-1. Come by
to contribute to your float. If you
cannot make the meeting please see Mrs. Korn or Mrs. Bretz.
The Speech and Debate Team is holding its
weekly meeting and practice today after
school at 2:30 in Room C15. If we haven't seen you
yet this year, this would be a great time for you to drop by!
There will be a Muse meeting tomorrow after school at 2:30 in Room C17. New members are welcome,
and we hope to see all our past Musers there!
Attention
sophomores, juniors, and seniors. If you volunteered to help with the 50th
Anniversary Open House this Friday, please attend a one hour session in
the Forum this afternoon. If you have
questions, please see Mrs. Ackerman in the English Department.
Warriors, are you ready for Homecoming?? Next Monday,
this amazing week of activities gets started with the HOMECOMING TALENT SHOW!!!
It’s the first event of the week, and you don’t want to miss out! We’ve got
tons of talent packed into the show, with bands, dancers, and poets rocking the
stage! Show times are 5:00 and 7:00 in
the AHS Theater. Homecoming royalty will also be announced at the 7:00 show, and the theater will be packed,
so buy your tickets as soon as possible! Tickets will be sold during both lunches Thursday through Monday. Let’s
start the week off with a bang!
Picture
re-takes will be tomorrow in the Trophy hallway from 9:30 to 1:00
p.m. If you have NOT had your picture
taken by the photographer for your yearbook and Student ID photograph please do
so at this time. If you have had your
picture taken but are not happy with the results, you must return your photo
packet to the photographer in order to have retakes.
If you
ordered a picture packet at registration in August, the photos are in. You can
pick yours up on the south side of the cafeteria during both lunches, or check
at the attendance office during any other period.
Seniors
please pick up a Graduation Announcement Packet in the Main Office or Guidance Office from
Mrs. DeBow. Herff Jones representatives will be at Arapahoe High School on
Thursday and Friday, September
26 and 27, 2013 during lunches in the cafeteria
to accept your order and answer any questions that you may have.
The time is NOW, Warriors. The Race for the Cure is coming
up on Sunday, September 29th. You can sign up to run or walk the
race, or you can sign up to SLEEP IN for the Race. Yes! You can be
a part of our community efforts to have the largest high school team and you
can just SLEEP IN!!! Join our team!
Help find a cure for breast cancer! Go to the Race for the Cure
website and find our Arapahoe team.
If you have any questions, ask a cheer or Tom, and they can point you in
the right direction. Come together,

Juniors, the PSAT test is coming. When? . . . October 16!
Registration has started and goes through
October 9. So, remember to bring $15 and your photo ID
to the Guidance Office to sign up for this important test!
Athletics
Congratulations to the Varsity and JV softball
teams for their wins on Saturday against
Overland. The JV team also had another win yesterday in a very exciting game
against Cherry Creek. Hot bats and good defense led the team to a 10 to 8
win over the Bruins. Both teams are back in action today at Smoky Hill. Good luck
ladies. Keep playing hard!
Tonight, the volleyball teams play at home against Mullen.
Games are at 4:00, 5:00, and 6:15. It is also Jimmy Johns night, so free samples will
be given out to fans. See you there!
You are invited to
our All-School Tailgate. Join us on Thursday, September 26th at the LPS Stadium from 6:00-7:00 p.m. $5 for food and fun. Hosted by Link Crew.
“Pink Cards" for Winter Sports will be distributed in the Cafeteria on Wednesday from 2:15 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. Online registration must be completed and
a current physical must be on file in the Athletic Office before
student-athletes can receive their "Pink
Card".
Registration is completed online at www.ahswarriors.org.
Winter Sports Registration is now open online.
Log on to www.ahswarriors.org and follow the instructions on the Home
Page to sign up for boys basketball, girls basketball, wrestling, or girls swim/dive.
There will be an NCAA/NAIA Orientation for all interested
Juniors and Seniors scholar-athletes today during both lunches in the
Forum. Please stop by the Athletic Office and sign up for the meeting
before end of the school day.
