General Announcements

School Picture Packets have arrived! If you ordered pictures, please pick them up from the attendance office as soon as possible. Picture Re-take day will be tomorrow from 10 until noon in the main entrance hallway.​ You will need to turn in your packet to the photographer in order to get re-takes.

Would you like to hear about a scholarship opportunity worth $180,000?  Then bring your lunch to the Forum during either lunch this Thursday. The United States Marine Corps will give a brief presentation on the NROTC scholarship. 

Reminder Warriors! Voting for Homecoming royalty will be all day this Thursday in the Cafeteria. Make sure to bring your ID and help us to pick Arapahoe’s finest to represent us in the Royalty court. They will be announced at Monday’s Homecoming Talent Show!

Congratulations to the Warrior Marching Band and Color Guard for their outstanding performance at the Legacy Marching Festival this weekend!  The band placed 5th in 5A competition and 7th overall with a score of 69.60.  This was their first competition of the year and will be competing again on Saturday, October 3 at the Douglas County Marching Invitational.  Arapahoe will perform at 3:15 PM at Douglas County High School stadium and we hope to see you there!!!

Juniors, the PSAT test is coming. When? . . . October 14! Registration has started and goes through October 7. So, remember to bring $15 and your photo ID to the Guidance Office to sign up for this important test!

Hey Warriors! The Arapahoe Softball program is hosting a fundraiser at the Garlic Knot this Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm. Come support the softball team and join us for all you can eat pizza and garlic knots. See Coach Krueger with any questions.

Homecoming Guest Pass Approval Forms will be available in the Activities Office beginning today.  Only one guest per student will be allowed, and due to the large number of attendees, only students grades 10-12 may bring a guest from another school.  Fully completed and signed forms MUST BE returned to the Activities office no later than 3 pm on Oct. 6.  For more information, please see Mrs. Railey in the Activities Office.  

Attention all National Business Honor Society members! There will be a meeting today after school in room E-9.



Athletics

There’s a sparkling new addition to the trophy case!  For the first time ever, JV boys’ tennis brought home hardware from the Niwot Invitational tournament.  Out of 14 teams, Warrior Gold and Black placed 2nd and 3rd!  It was a true team effort, one they plan to continue as they hit the road to rally with Chatfield this afternoon.

Congrats to the cross country teams for some tough running at the Dave Sanders Invite this past Friday. Out of 22 teams in the big school division, the girls varsity placed 11th, the girls JV placed 6th, and the girls open team placed 4th. On the boys side both the varsity and JV teams placed 2nd and the boys open team placed 3rd. 

Congratulations to the Warrior Varsity football team with their win over Hinkley 28-8 and the JV Warrior football team win 45-0.

Congratulations to the Sophomore Volleyball Team for winning the Heritage Tournament! Warrior Volleyball is away this week at Mullen tomorrow and Grandview Thursday. Thank you for supporting your Warrior volleyball teams!

Saturday, the Boys’ Varsity Soccer team beat crosstown rival Heritage by a score of 2-1. Max Gueller and Chris Grauberger scored the goals, both assisted by Trevor Young. The Junior Varsity was victorious over Heritage by a score of 1-0. Great job Warriors!

The gymnastics team took 3rd out of 20 teams this weekend at the Rebel Rock Invite. There is a meet tomorrow, Tuesday September 29th at Ponderosa at 6 pm

All girls interested in playing girls golf this year, please come to a short informational meeting in Room S-11 tomorrow at 2:30. See you there!

Hey Warriors - the football game this Friday, October 2nd will be a fight to bring the Brookridge Trophy back home to AHS!  We need everyone there to cheer our team to victory!  Arapahoe will be the "away" team for this cross-town rivalry game against Heritage so everyone (students and parents) will need to purchase a ticket for the game.  Tickets will be available for purchase starting Wednesday, September 30th during lunches and will continue to be sold during lunches on Thursday and Friday.  Admission is $3 for students and $5 for adults.  Go Warriors!!! 

Are you a Junior or Senior student athlete interested in college athletics? If so, please sign up for the NCAA/NAIA Orientation and Recruiting Seminar to be held on Tuesday, September 29th in the forum. Sign Up sheets are in the Guidance Center and Athletic Office. Sessions will be offered first or second lunch. Go Warriors!

Hey Warriors!  The "blackouts" at games have been amazing!  We are going to continue showing our Arapahoe spirit by selling the latest and greatest spirit t-shirt.  Bring $15 out to the South Patio during lunch (weather permitting) to pick up your shirt.  Quantities are limited so get yours today - Go Warriors!
