All
students who are planning to audition for All State Choir need to see Mr. Funk
no later than 2:30 today
(Tuesday, September 8) to finalize your registration to audition. Please
stop by at any time today if you have an off hour. Also, your audition
fee of $20.00 must be paid to Mrs. Cheney in the bookkeeping office by the end
of today as well. Thanks!!!
ATTENTION SENIORS: Don’t miss being in your Senior Class Photo!
Tuesday,
September 15-First Period in the Main Gym. All Seniors should be there. Don’t miss
being in the picture! (For seniors wishing to order a photo of the class, order forms will be
available at the time the photo is taken.)
Hey Warriors! Are you interested in debate or any form
of public speaking? The Speech and Debate team is having a new member meeting
today after school in room C15. We hope to see you there!
Muse Magazine will hold its
2nd meeting today at 2:30 in
room E-11. This is an important meeting, so please don't miss it if you
plan on being involved this year.
Hey Seniors!
The Daniels Scholarship Program provides a four-year annually-renewable college
scholarship for graduating high school seniors who demonstrate exceptional
character, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities. Please
see Ms. Schoonover in Guidance for more information.
Attention all students who are interested in joining
FBLA this year. The first FBLA Club Meeting will be held tomorrow after
school in room E-9.
Athletics
Congratulations to the JV football team with their 10-6 win
over Legend last Friday Night! Also congrats to the Freshman team with
their 40-32 win. That's a clean sweep over Legend for our Warrior
Football Team!
Congrats
to the boys and girls cross country teams for their great performances at the Warrior
Invitational last Friday! In a field of 33 teams, the boys JV earned second
place and the girls JV earned first place. The girls varsity were 6th overall
and for the first time in 5 years the boys varsity won the meet! Great job
Warriors!
The
Arapahoe Warrior Tournament is today 9/8, tomorrow, 9/9 and Sat, 9/12!
Please come out for the games and support your ABK Varsity and JV teams! The Varsity squad will play
Rampart High School at 7:30 at the LPS stadium, and JV will play Rampart at AHS at 5:30. This year we are asking you to participate in the
tournament! Get your friends together (4 people per game) and help
us retrieve balls when they are knocked out of bounds. It's great way to
see the game up close and why not if you're coming anyway! You'll receive free
items from the concession stand and a cool water bottle!! Please contact
Coach Hampshire to sign up.
Congratulations
to the varsity softball team for picking up 2 big wins this weekend! In
the first game on Saturday the
Warriors defeated the Westminster Wolves 7 to 0 in a very long 10 inning
battle. In the second game of the day, a walk-off hit in the bottom of the 7th
inning led the Warriors to a 5 to 4 victory over Bear Creek. The Lady Warriors
are back in action this Thursday against
Heritage. Game time is 4 pm at
DeKoevand Park. Come cheer us on to another victory!
