General Announcements
Juniors (and interested Sophomores) registration for PSAT is now
open! Come to the Guidance Department and sign up with Mrs. Ives. Cost for PSAT
is $18.
Registration is from now until Oct. 13th.
PSAT test will be happening Wednesday morning, Oct. 19th.
We are encouraging every junior to take this test. The PSAT is the
only exam to qualify a student for National Merit Scholar Status, when taken
during junior year.
Student photos will be distributed through your 1st
hour class on Friday. Picture retake day Is Tuesday October 11th
Attention seniors: The Daniels
Fund Scholarship application is now open. Are you a senior who
demonstrates strength of character, leadership potential, community service,
academic promise, and a well-rounded personality? The Daniels Scholarship
is a “last dollar” scholarship that will pay toward the remaining costs of a
scholar’s education after all other grants and scholarships are applied. The
scholarship is only awarded to students from our four-state area There is a
need-based component to qualify. Stop by the Guidance office and see Mrs.
Kostra for more information.
On Friday, the Post Grad Center will host Northern Arizona
University, Western University, and Montana State University. Sign up in
Naviance.
Hey Warriors!
Did you know you can STILL be a part of Key Club! All you have to do is attend
our meetings every Monday after school, and make sure to notify one of the
officers that you would like to join.
Attention
all Seniors! Herff Jones will be here
Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you have not already
ordered your cap and gown, please stop by the cafeteria. Also, Herff Jones will
be taking orders for Graduation announcements and class rings. Deposits will be
required for all orders.

25 class Monday October 10th at 2:30pm in room W1874. If
you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79
fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can take your drivers permit test after taking
the class and a lot insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2
hour class. Sign up on-line. Any questions ask Deputy Englert
The
Freshmen Tailgate is coming up on Saturday October 8th at 9:00
am. Meet your link leaders on the Arapahoe track/football, and support
your freshmen football team as they play Overland! Free Lamar’s doughnuts,
Einstein’s Bagels, and Starbuck’s coffee will be provided.
ATTENTION ALL JUNIORS AND
SENIORS: The
2017 trip to Washington D.C. is here again! This trip is an amazing
opportunity to experience Washington D.C. and Capitol Hill first hand.
This year will be especially exciting and relevant because we will have a new
President and many changes in Congress.
There will be a parent/guardian meeting for those
interested in this trip on Wednesday, October 12th at 6 PM in the
Room W-2882. Please feel free to join your parent or guardian, and if you
are unable to attend the meeting, please see Mr. Hawthorne or Mrs. Winn in the
Social Studies department.
Athletics
Congrats to the Varsity softball team
for their 21 to 3 win against Overland yesterday. A big shout out to Rachel Stoneking
and Kayleigh Krueger for both hitting 3-run homeruns in the game. Congrats on a
great season ladies!
The JV softball team also had a big win
against Overland yesterday. The Lady Warriors had a great hitting day and won
by a score of 17 to 2. Great job ladies and good luck in the Centennial League
tournament this weekend.
Your Varsity Boys’ Soccer team plays at
home today in an important league match against Cherry Creek High School at
4:30. The Junior Varsity will play Cherry Creek at 4:30 today as well, on the
JV field. Come root your Warriors to victory!
A huge congratulations goes out to your Arapahoe Varsity Volleyball
team! They came back from being behind 0-2, to win it in 5 games! Thank you to
all of our WILD fans who helped cheer us onto CRUNCH CREEK!! Our next game is
at home tonight against Overland... Sophomore starts at 4, Freshman and JV
start at 5, with Varsity beginning at 6.15. Come out and cheer us onto another
victory! GO WARRIORS!
